Nicholas Lorenzini, 61, of Dumont, formerly of Northvale, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2014.  Beloved husband of Catherine (nee Fedey).  Loving step-father of Victoria and Jon Jengo of Caldwell and Christopher and April Colman of NH and grandfather of their daughter Andrea.  Dear brother of John and his wife Nancy of Northvale, Marguerite Webber of Norwood and the late James. Adored uncle of Danielle, Nicole, John, Elizabeth, Erika, Charles and Eric.  Also survived by sister-in-law Sherrie.

Nick graduated from Don Bosco Prep and was awarded the Ironman Trophy, having lettered in both football and track.  He went on to St. Joseph College in Indiana where he continued to play football.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday 11:30 AM at the Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale.  Visiting hours are Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.

Theodore R. Cuseo, 93, of the Bronx, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2014.  Beloved husband of the late Catherine.  Dearest brother of Josephine Staropoli and the late Carl and Michael. Cherished uncle of many loving nieces, nephews and their families.

Mr. Cuseo was a US Army Veteran of WWII.  Before retiring he was a curator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.  He played the drums in a band, along with his brother, Carl, for many years.  He will be dearly missed.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 9:30 AM at Madonna Church on the Hill, Fort Lee with interment to follow at Madonna Cemetery.  Visiting hours are Friday 4-7 PM at the Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale.

STOKES, “Lyn” (nee Marilyn Hummel), 79, a longtime resident of New Milford, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014.  Lyn had been one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for over 50 years and regularly volunteered in it’s ministry.

Beloved wife of the late Ronald Stokes. Loving mother of Kenneth and his wife Kerry of New Milford and Ronald and his wife Malissa of New Milford. Adored grandmother of Kenneth and his wife Shama, Lindsey and her husband Brian, Nicole and her husband Dan and the late Mark.  Great-grandmother of Devan and Bryce. Dearest sister of Dolores Finkle and Barbara O’Keefe.

MUJICA, Cheryl J. (nee Kunz), 46, of Old Tappan, formerly of Northvale, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2014.  Beloved wife of David T. Mujica and devoted mother of Kaylee and Alexa.  Cherished daughter of Russell and Patricia Kunz of Northvale.  Adored sister of Carolyn Ross and her husband Thomas of Closter and sister-in-law of Karen Polidoro and her husband Mark of Monroe Twp., NJ.  Loving aunt of Jennifer, Domenic, Courtney, Owen and Kristina.

Cheryl owned and operated Perfect Pool and Spa Management, Inc. in Norwood, a company she formed while in her twenties.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday 10:00 AM at St. Anthony’s RC Church, Northvale with interment to follow at Old Tappan Cemetery, Old Tappan. Visiting hours are Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale.

Therese Salvia (nee Duffy), of Sparkill, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014.  Beloved wife of Daniel F. Salvia.  Loving daughter of the late Helen and John Duffy.  Dearest sister of the late Rev. Gabriel Duffy.  She is also survived by a large extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and dear friends who she dearly loved.

Therese took much pride in her career at McGraw-Hill in NYC.  A devout Catholic, she and her husband Dan worshipped at many parishes, including St. Anthony’s RC Church in Northvale, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart RC Church in Tappan and St. John the Baptist RC Church in Piermont.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Jan 14 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony’s, Northvale with interment to follow at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill.  Visiting hours are Monday 2-4 and 7-9 at the Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale.

Peter J. Pontillo, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014.  Beloved husband of Angela.  Loving father of Peter W. and his wife Lynne, Charles and Steven and his wife Patty.  Adored grandfather of Robert, Michael, Matthew, Bret, Lucas, Cristin and Stephanie.

COOPER, Joan (nee Hursala), 76, of Norwood, passed away at home on Tuesday, December 31, 2013.  Beloved wife of Kenneth.  Devoted mother of Kenneth and wife Nicole, Robert and wife Marie and Scott and wife Kirsten.  Dearest sister and sister-in-law of John and Rosalie Hursala, Dorothy Shields, George and Ethel Cooper and the late Nancy Croak and Charles Cooper.  Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.  Joan was a telephone operator for NY Bell in Brooklyn and was a member of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

A funeral service will be held Staurday 12:30 PM at the Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale with interment to follow at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, NY.  The family will receive friends from 11 AM to 12:30 PM on Saturday.

  Edward T. McGuire, of Barnegat NJ, 76, died on December 31, 2013. Born in Jersey City on October 16, 1937. He was married to Lucy Barbera in 1960 and lived in Paramus NJ, Easton CT, Mahwah NJ and Barnegat NJ. He is survived by wife Lucy and three children – daughter Karen Puskas and husband Andy of Roxbury CT, son Michael and wife Diane of Franklin MA and son Joseph and wife Susan of Northvale NJ. Also survived by brother Joseph McGuire and wife Dorothy of Franklin Lakes NJ and sister Maureen Sweeney and husband Tom of Keyport NJ. Six grandchildren – Edward & Lucy Puskas of Roxbury CT, Liam & Maxwell McGuire of Franklin MA and John & Robert of Northvale NJ. He is predeceased by parents Edward & Ann McGuire of Jersey City and son Edward III.

He was a Korean War veteran and served in the Air Force from 1954-57. He was employed by First National Bank of Jersey City until marriage, served as Assistant Secretary at General Reinsurance Corp. in New York NY and Greenwich/Stamford CT, Vice President at Bankers Trust Co. in New York NY and Vice President at Trust Company of NJ in Jersey City NJ.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, serving as Grand Knight and President of the Columbian Club of the Paramus Council 5680 and achieved 4^th degree Knight at Msgr. Charles G. McCorristin Assembly in Washington Township Council 5427. Member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, District 2 Waretown NJ, Town of Paramus NJ Planning Board, Town of Easton CT Project Planning and Review Committee, Commissioner of Easton CT Fire Department and President of Easton CT Little League.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s RC Church in Northvale NJ on Monday at 10 AM with interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visiting hours will be Sunday 2 – 6 PM at the Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale.  In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Edward’s name to Knights of Columbus, Paramus Council #5680, 50 Midland Ave. Paramus NJ 07652.

Kozak (nee Graham), 87, of Northvale, formerly of Old Tappan, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2013.  Beloved wife of the late Alfred.  Devoted mother of Stephen of Stone Lake, WI, Gary and his wife Bernadette of Hillsdale, Catherine Mary Kozak of Nags Head, NC, Kevin and his wife Sophie of Birmingham, AL and the late Bernadette Mary Kozak.  Dear sister of Thomas Graham, Jr.  Adored grandmother of ten and great-grandmother of one.
