Elizabeth “Betty” Wakefield (nee Preti), 85, of Northvale, passed away at home on Sunday, July 6, 2014. Beloved wife of the late George. Loving mother of Richard Wakefield and his wife Rebecca of Mahwah and Lynn Muth and her husband Robert of Northvale. Dear sister of Patricia Frank of Virginia.
Betty was a retail associate at Parian Jewelers in Westwood for over 25 years. She was an active parishioner of St. Anthony’s RC Church, Northvale and was also a Eucharistic Minister.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday 10:00 AM at St. Anthony’s with interment to follow at Tappan Cemetery, Tappan, NY. Visiting hours are Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale (201-767-3050).
