Allen Faxon Gardiner, 93, of Old Tappan, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2014. Beloved husband of Frances (nee Tyler). Loving father of Byron and wife Sandy of Everett, WA, Thomas and wife Anne Marie of Northvale, Douglas and wife Judy of Waldwick. Cherished grandfather of Kathryn, Matthew, Kim and Katy. Great-grandfather of Beth and Connor. Dearest brother of Ray Gardiner and Aurelie Palmer and the late Richard and Walter Palmer. Brother-in-law of Elizabeth, Donna, and Linda.
Mr. Gardiner was a US Army Air Corp veteran of WWII. Before retiring he was an advertising executive and a commercial artist. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 1:30 PM at the Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale. The family will receive friends from 12:30- 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts to NJ Veterans Memorial Home at Paramus, One Veterans Drive, Paramus, NJ 07652, Attention: Giulia Kirsch. Interment at the convenience of the family.
