Roy “Sonny” Martorana, 88, of Pearl River, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017. Beloved husband of Rose (nee Conforto). Loving father of John and wife Frances of Sloatsburg, Rosalie Caruso and husband Stephen of River Vale, Alfred and wife Dina of West Milford, NJ and Tina Murray of Pearl River. Adored grandfather of Nicole, Stephen II, Sonni, Johnny, Jean Marie, Marisa, Andrea, Deanna, Joseph and Alyssa. Great-grandfather of Poppy and Penny.
Sonny was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Con Edison after over 43 years of service. He also was a member of the Sons of Italy Rockland Lodge 2176 in Blauvelt.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM at St. Aedan’s RC Church, Pearl River with inurnment to follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Nanuet. Visiting hours are Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale, NJ (201-767-3050).

Sonny was a wonderful man. He was a wonderful Husband and Father too. He had a terrific sense of humor and always made
you laugh. He was always fun to be with and i will really miss him. I know he is in a better place now and i wish him well.
