Ellen M. Walsh (nee McGarry), 70, of Westchester, PA, formerly of Norwood, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Robert. Cherished mother of Eileen DeLucia and husband Andrew of Westchester, PA and Thomas Walsh and fiancé Bridget Cornwell of Westwood. Adored grandmother of Andrew, Dylan and Connor DeLucia. Both jobs involved helping those who could not help themselves, something she loved doing throughout her whole life. Her faith and family were of the utmost importance to her and she was a wonderful grandmother to her three grandsons.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 11 AM at Immaculate Conception RC Church, Norwood. Visiting hours are Friday 5-9 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale (201-767-3050). In lieu of flowers please send donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

  1. Dear, dear Ellen

I will miss you and our breakfasts at the Northvale Diner — even though we both moved away a few years ago. We shared so many wonderful memories of our shared Norwood experience.
You were a true and devoted friend…as well as a woman of faith…I so wish I could be there to wish you “farewell” — but know that I am praying for your assured welcome into Heaven…where you will be with Bob and Rosie…she loved you so much. You are truly one of the Unforgettable ones in my mind and so many others. “May the Road rise to meet you”…and the angels guide on your way. Please watch over us as we travel the road left to us…

  2. Ellen’s unfailing kindness as a person and her courage and consistent cheerfulness in the face of the pain and difficulties she was left with by the terrible car accident years ago have always been an inspiration to me. Yes, as you share in the banquet of eternal life, pray for us who are still on the journey.
    Cousin John Madden
