Margaret Ascatigno (nee Soldano), 86, of Orangeburg, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, March 15, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Joseph. Cherished mother of Frances Jacobellis and husband Charles of Tappan, Joseph Ascatigno and his partner Thaiani of Old Tappan and Dorothy LoTurco and husband Michael of Nanuet. Adored grandmother of Kim (Dominic), Daria (Edward), Allyse (Ray), Gina (Nick), Joey, Michael and Danielle and great-grandmother of Giavanna, Gabriella, Luca and Vittoria. Dearest sister of the late Anthony Soldano, Peter Soldano and Frances Spadaccini. Also survived by many cherished relatives and friends.
Besides being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Margie was a dedicated parishioner of St. Catharine’s Church, Blauvelt and was a member of the Orangetown Senior Center and the Romanesque Lodge in Blauvelt.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday 10 AM at St. Catharine’s Church, Blauvelt with interment to follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Nanuet. Visiting hours are Monday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale (201-767-3050).
