The funeral home was first opened in 1974 under the name Northern Valley Memorial Home. The first funeral service held at the home was for then-major, John Hogan. Anthony and Joyce Pizzi acquired the business in 1977, renaming it to Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home. The community-minded and well-respected funeral home served Northvale and the surrounding area for 37 years.<\/span><\/p>\n

In July of 2014, Anthony and Joyce\u2019s son, Michael, and his wife, Pamela, purchased the funeral home upon his parents\u2019 retirement and renamed it to Pizzi Funeral Home LLC. Although the home has changed names and ownership, the Pizzi Family has continued to uphold the founding principle of providing dignified, trustworthy, and compassionate care to the families who call on them.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
