John J. O’Connor, 90, of Boca Raton, FL, formerly of Northvale, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2014.\u00a0 Beloved husband of Anna O\u2019Connor (nee Verni).\u00a0 Cherished uncle of Robert and Lynn.\u00a0 Dear brother of the late Daniel.\u00a0 He is also survived by many loving relatives and friends.<\/p>\n
John was a US Navy veteran of WWII.\u00a0 He was a member of the Northvale VFW and the Deerfield Beach, FL American Legion.\u00a0 He also belonged to the Knights of Columbus St. Mary\u2019s Council 3679 in Closter for many years.\u00a0 Before retiring, John worked for A & P in Elmsford, NY.<\/p>\n
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday 10:00 AM at St. Anthony\u2019s RC Church, Northvale with interment to follow at Tappan Cemetery, Tappan, NY.\u00a0 Visiting hours are Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale.<\/p>\n
