Christopher P. Favata, 64, of River Vale, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2014.\u00a0 Beloved son of the late Frank and Julia.\u00a0 Loving brother of Eleanor Bickford of Ocala, FL, Alicia and John Nemec of Cooperstown, NY, Nina Favata of Ridgewood, Julia Ruth of Warwick, NY and Joseph Favata of Nyack, NY.\u00a0 Cherished uncle of Christopher, Carly, Erika, Sarah, Frank and Christine.\u00a0 He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.<\/p>\n
Chris was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and was awarded a Bronze Star.\u00a0 He was the Commander of Norwood American Legion Post 272.\u00a0 Before retiring Chris was a steamfitter in NYC.<\/p>\n
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday 9:30 AM at St. Anthony\u2019s RC Church, Northvale with interment to follow at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, NY.\u00a0 Visiting hours are Monday 7-9 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale (201-767-3050).<\/p>\n
