Lamia, age 70, was a longtime resident of Highland, MI and Upper Nyack, NY.\u00a0 He passed away peacefully on July 9<sup>th<\/sup> 2015, surrounded by his loving family.\u00a0 Joseph held a successful career in cosmetic industry sales for L\u2019Or\u00e9al and Revlon prior to developing his own company, Lamia &amp; Lamia, which is still in existence today.\u00a0 Joseph\u2019s talents were not limited to business.\u00a0 His greatest accomplishments could be seen in the way he lived each day, caring for his family, enjoying those he loved and enjoying his life.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0An avid golfer and a long-time member of Rockland Country Club, he developed bonds with family and friends and was always the consummate host.<\/p>\n<p>Beloved husband of Gail Lamia for 48 years, the story of their first dance in high school is still told today.\u00a0 Loving and devoted father of Joelle Reinhart and Michael Lamia, and father-in-law to Jennifer Lamia and Curtis Reinhart.\u00a0 \u201cPapa\u201d forever to six grandchildren, Julia, Joseph, Sammy, Mikey, Gianna and Mia, who will always remember him as a man who never gave up. He taught them to let love grow during times of the greatest adversity.<\/p>\n<p>Joseph is survived by his brothers, Frank Lamia, John Lamia and Charles Lamia, his sister Connie Lamia and their spouses Patty, Pearl, Maria and Ed.<\/p>\n<p>We celebrate his life of courage and devotion.\u00a0 The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 15 from 2:00-9:00 pm at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave. Northvale, NJ (201) 767-3050.\u00a0 The funeral mass will be on Thursday, July 16 at 10:00 am at St. Ann\u2019s Church 16 Jefferson Street, Nyack, NY.
