Mae Maria-Domenica nee LaRucci, age 95, of Norwood, formerly of Northvale, Edgewater, Closter and Manchester, NJ, \u00a0passed away on January 17th. Beloved wife of the late Frederick. Devoted mother of Carol Rothe of Wanaque, formerly of Montvale and Fredrick Hessler and his wife Karen of Montvale. Adored grandmother of James Rothe, Jennifer Rothe Oldham and her husband Jimmy, Kristen Rothe O\u2019Donnell and her husband Keith, Eric Hessler and his wife Meghan, and Dr. Lindsay Hessler.\u00a0 She had six Great Grandchildren whom she loved dearly: Tyler and Ryan Oldham, Jackson and Avery O\u2019Donnell, Gage and Giles Hessler. Mae is survived by her sister Margaret Keely of Norwood and was predeceased by her sisters, Natalie Kilmurray and Constance Ford.<\/p>\n
During her professional career, Mae was an original employee (\u201cFounder\u201d) of Bloomingdales in Hackensack from when the store opened in 1964 until she retired 25 years later. Mae enjoyed dancing, and was an active member of the Norwood and Northvale Senior Citizen Centers. She enjoyed playing bingo and bridge. She often attended NV Old Tappan Baseball, and music performances at Northern Valley Old Tappan and was a die-hard fan of the NY Yankees.<\/p>\n
