Born and raised in Totowa, NJ; he was a resident of Norwood for the last 28 years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Michael was full of life and the heart of the family. \u00a0He had a gift of gab, a knack for telling a story and the ability to make friends wherever he went. \u00a0He was the beloved husband of 44 years to Jennifer (nee Benvenuto). \u00a0He is also survived by his son, Christopher, and his wife , Jamie Marie and his daughter Jamie Beth Diceglie. \u00a0He also leaves behind his brother, Frank DeCeglie; his sister, Joanne Dagnino, and her husband, Dennis: and numerous nieces and nephews. \u00a0He is predeceased by his father and mother, Michael and Jennie, and his siblings, Grace Jansen and George DeCeglie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Michael worked for Adalet Corporation as director of Sales and Marketing and at Chase Manhattan Bank &#8211; Real Estate Division.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He coached the Norwood Girls Softball Team and was also Director of Norwood Baseball and Softball Leagues. He was a member of the Electronic Young Tigers Association. \u00a0Michael was also a trustee for the Old Tappan High School Athletic Club and responsible for scholarship fundraising.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Sunday, February 28, 2016 from 3pm to 7pm at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale, NJ. \u00a0His funeral mass will be held at noon on Monday at St. Anthony\u2019s RC Church, 199 Walnut Street, Northvale, NJ.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael\u2019s name to the John Theurer Cancer Center, 92 Second Street, Hackensack NJ 07601, Att: Dr. Robert Alter or the Norwood Little League thru Pizzi Funeral Home.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">www.pizzifuneralhome.com<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Michael Diceglie, of Norwood NJ, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family at the age of 69 after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, February 23, 2016.
