{"id":2271,"date":"2016-03-08T12:43:58","date_gmt":"2016-03-08T17:43:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pizzifuneralhome.com\/?p=1821"},"modified":"2016-03-08T12:43:58","modified_gmt":"2016-03-08T17:43:58","slug":"marianne-robbins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pizzifuneralhome.com\/?p=2271","title":{"rendered":"Marianne Robbins"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Marianne Robbins, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, died on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Villa Marie Claire in Saddle River, NJ.\u00a0\u00a0 She was 87.<\/p>\n<p>Born Marianne Pierce in Waterbury, CT, she attended nursing school and worked at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan where she met her husband, Dr. Milton Robbins.\u00a0 They married in 1953 and raised 3 children in Riverdale, NY and Tenafly, NJ before moving to Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ.<\/p>\n<p>Widowed in 1992, Marianne moved to Norwood, NJ.\u00a0 She joined St. Pius X church and sang in the choir; was a member of Cornerstone; and participated in volunteer projects through the church.\u00a0 Marianne was a devoted yoga practitioner and walked in the outdoors regularly.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by her children, daughters Diane O\u2019Rorke and Nancy Robbins, and son Paul Robbins and daughter-in-law, Karen; grandchildren, Dominique Robbins Malinda and Riley and Morgan O\u2019Rorke; siblings, Edward Pierce and Joan Pescetelli; nieces and nephews; and, many life-long and treasured friends.<\/p>\n<p>A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday 10 AM at St. Pius X RC Church, Old Tappan with interment to follow at Westchester Hills Cemetery, Hastings-On-Hudson, NY.\u00a0 Visiting hours are Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale (201-767-3050).<\/p>\n<p>In lieu of flowers, please donate to Villa Marie Claire in Saddle River, NJ or to personal charities.<\/p>\n<p>www.pizzifuneralhome.com<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Marianne Robbins, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, died on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Villa Marie Claire in Saddle River, NJ.\u00a0\u00a0 She was 87.
