Beloved husband of Ruth (nee McMeekin). Cherished father of Kathleen Christie and husband Walter of Old Tappan, Diane Diaz and husband Waldo of River Vale and Lynne Moran of Englewood. Adored grandfather of Lauren Christie, Kara Christie, Ryan Diaz and Kyle Diaz. Dear uncle of Philip Mancuso and Robert McMeekin. Predeceased by his sister Ruth Mancuso and her husband Anthony.<\/p>\n<p>Lester was a US Army Veteran. He retired from Cohen Express Trucking as Vice \u2013President. Prior to that\u00a0he was a police officer in Jersey City and was a private investigator and a talent manager for many years. \u00a0Lester was an active supporter of the Police Athletic League.\u00a0 A generous and kind man with a huge\u00a0heart, Lester will forever be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor.<\/p>\n<p>A Funeral Service will be held Thursday 11 AM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale (201-<\/p>\n<p>767-3050) with interment to follow at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, NY.\u00a0 Visiting hours are Wednesday 5-8 PM.<\/p>\n<p>www.pizzifuneralhome.com<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lester Robert Jacoby, 79, of Englewood, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, April 17, 2016.
