Beloved husband of Jean (nee DeCrescenzo). Loving father of Janice Mierzwa and husband Roger of Morris Plains and Carol de Lyon and husband Bruce of Dumont. Predeceased by his dear sons, Steven and John. Adored grandfather of James, Jennifer, Michael, Rachel, Aaron, Benjamin and Preston and great-grandfather of Jenna, Matthew and Rebekkah. Dear brother of Vincent and Walter and his wife Mary. Also survived by daughter-in-law, Laurie Summer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">John served in the US Merchant Marines during WWII. He retired from the Port Authority of NY\/NJ in NYC where he was an engineer after 35 years. He was a member of the Cresskill American Legion and Knights of Columbus Immaculate Conception Council 9021, Norwood.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Victories RC Church, Harrington Park with entombment to follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington.
