Corinne Elizabeth\u00a0Massie (nee Goebel), 92, of Northvale, passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2018.\u00a0 She was the original Domestic Diva of the twentieth century . Mom’s revolving door was open to everyone. Her cooking skills were only surpassed by her ability to design and create distinctive christening gowns and suits for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.\u00a0 Mom was an avid reader and enjoyed travel with her husband. Her travel continued when Dad died and she had many more travel adventures with her friends and family. Mom taught her children to love and respect our country and our flag as her family had\u00a0fought in every major war including the\u00a0 American Revolution, The Civil War, WWI and WWII.<\/p>\n

Mom’s only request was that she be buried in her sneakers so she could run to Daddy. Run Mom Run!!!<\/p>\n

She is survived by her nine children, Charles Massie, Corinne McKenna, Frances and Raymond Darakjian, Angela Massie, Frank Massie, Christopher Massie, Marie and Carmine Colella, William \u201cBilly Milano\u201d Massie and Louise Massie. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n

She is predeceased by her parents Charles and Elizabeth Goebel (nee Matthesius),\u00a0her husband Francis C. Massie and her sons John and Michael Massie.<\/p>\n

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 am at St. Anthony\u2019s Church, Northvale with interment to follow at Rockland Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday 4-8 pm at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale (201-767-3050).<\/p>\n
