Prodigo, 88, a lifelong resident of Closter, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2012.\u00a0 Beloved husband of Ines (nee Perez) for 23 years.\u00a0 Devoted father of Richard \u201cSkip\u201d and his wife Kathy of Lincoln Park, Sandra Capasso and her husband Don of Harrington Park, and David and his wife Kelly of Dumont. Step-father of Carol Johnston of FL.\u00a0 Adored grandfather of Denise, Lisa, Frank, Sherese, Stacey, Nicole, Nicholas, Jenna, Jordan and Billy and great-grandfather of eight.\u00a0 Dearest brother and brother-in-law of Nino of Northvale, Janet and Ed Frohlich of Northvale, Loretta and Al Hermann of VA and Susan and Bill Essmann of Northvale.\u00a0 Predeceased by his first wife Margaret, his sister Lucille \u201cToot\u201d Amorosso and her husband Joseph, sister-in-law Phyllis \u00a0and daughter-in-law Beverly. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u00a0 Frank was a draftsman for for Lederle Labs in Pearl River for over 42 years.\u00a0 He was a Navy veteran of WWII, having served in the Pacific.\u00a0 He served the boro of Closter as a councilman and was the police commissioner.\u00a0 Mr. Prodigo was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Closter and was Past Grand Knight.\u00a0 He was also past president of the Round Table Club in Northvale and was a parishioner of St. Mary\u2019s RC Church in Closter.<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u00a0 Frank \u00a0enjoyed fishing and spending his summers in Manasquan.<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u00a0 A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday 10:00 AM at St. Mary\u2019s Church, Closter with interment to follow at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, NY.\u00a0 Visiting hours are Saturday 2-4 and 7-9 PM and Sunday 1-3 PM at the Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale.<\/p>\n
