Harry George Veras, 87, of Tenafly, formerly of Alpine, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019. Beloved husband of Mary Margaret (nee Chapman). Cherished father of Virginia Veras of Englewood, Patricia Brigley and husband Keith of Old Tappan, Ellen Bellet and husband Wayne of NYC, Harry G. Veras and wife Mary Ann of Rumson, John Veras and wife Bethanne of Closter and Mary Ayoub and husband Sam of New Milford. Proud grandfather of ten grandchildren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harry attended Fordham\nPreparatory School and Fordham University College of Business Administration\nand was an officer in the US Air Force. He was the\nChief  Financial Officer of Grolier Inc. and later the CEO\nof Purchasing Management Consulting in New York City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harry was a loving\nfather who shared boating, the seashore and collecting model trains with his\nwife and children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Funeral Mass will be\u00a0held on\u00a0Wednesday, April 24 at\u00a011\u00a0AM\u00a0at St. Anthony\u2019s RC Church, Northvale with interment\u00a0to follow at Hackensack Cemetery, Hackensack. Visiting hours are\u00a0Tuesday 4-9\u00a0PM\u00a0at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale (201-767-3050<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In lieu of flowers, donations in Harry\u2019s memory to the American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org, would be greatly appreciated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
