\u00a0\u00a0 Joseph John Patten, 85, of Tappan, passed away at home on Sunday, April 22, 2012.\u00a0 Beloved husband of Emily T. (nee Maio).\u00a0 Loving father of Joseph W. Patten of Wallkill and Bernadette Gaglione and her husband Joseph of Orangeburg.\u00a0 Cherished grandfather of Joseph and Michael.\u00a0 Dearest brother of Edward Patten of Elmira and the late John and Mary.<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u00a0 Mr. Patten was a proud Navy veteran of WWII.\u00a0 After retiring from the meat packing union, he worked six years for the Clarkstown Central School District.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u00a0 A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart RC Church, Tappan with interment to follow at Loescher Veterans Cemetery, New Hempstead.\u00a0 Visiting hours are Thursday 6-9 PM at the Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale.\u00a0<\/p>\n
