\u00a0 \u00a0Helen Veronica Cahill (nee O\u2019Connor), 85, a longtime resident of Northvale, NJ, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, July 16, 2012.\u00a0 Beloved wife of the late Edward and loving sister of the late Josephine Reilly and Madeline Brady.\u00a0 Beloved mother of Maggie Cahill of San Francisco.\u00a0 Helen is also survived by Maggie’s partner Janet Haire, and her brother John O\u2019Connor and his wife Mary Ellen of Waccabuc, NY.\u00a0 She is also survived by many loving family members and friends.<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u00a0 Mrs. Cahill was an active parishioner and Eucharistic Minister of St. Anthony\u2019s RC Church, Northvale and a member of the Northvale Senior Center.\u00a0 Helen worked in Advertising for the William H. Weintraub advertising agency before retiring to start a family.\u00a0 She also worked for her husband\u2019s company Slayden & Cahill Construction Company and for Midlantic Bank in Northvale.<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u00a0 She was a loyal and loving friend to many. We celebrate her life and take heart in having known and witnessed the kindness and generosity she freely extended to all. Helen is sadly missed and much loved and will forever remain so.<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u00a0 A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony\u2019s Church in Northvale with interment to follow at St. Anthony\u2019s Cemetery, Nanuet, NY.\u00a0 Visiting hours are Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale.\u00a0 In lieu of flowers, please make donations to:\u00a0 Girl Scouts of the USA, Fund Development, P.O.
