Verna C. Bryant, 89, of Tappan, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2012.\u00a0 Beloved wife of the late Harrison.\u00a0 Loving mother of Jeffry Bryant of Orangeburg,
\nSteven Bryant of Tappan, Susan Loiacono and her husband Nicholas of Tappan ,
\nand the late Robert John Bryant.\u00a0 Adored grandmother of Nicholas, Victoria, Gregory, Michael, Jennifer, and Joseph and great-grandmother of Nicholas.<\/p>\n

Before retiring, Mrs. Bryant was a school teacher and librarian for the South Orangetown Central School District for over 25 years.\u00a0 She enjoyed spending her winters in Myrtle Beach, SC with her husband, Harrison, playing pinochle and bridge, and time with her friends at the Thorpe Village and Tappan Senior Centers.<\/p>\n

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart RC Church, Tappan with interment to follow at St. Catharine\u2019s Cemetery, Blauvelt, NY.\u00a0 Visiting hours are Wednesday 4-7 PM at the Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale, NJ.<\/p>\n

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hi-Tor Animal Shelter, 65 Firemen\u2019s Memorial Dr., Pomona, NY 10970 in Mrs. Bryant\u2019s memory.<\/p>\n
