Agnes G. Albanese (nee Buonocore), 84, a lifelong resident of Northvale, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 surrounded by her loving family.\u00a0 Beloved wife of 62 years to Charles L. Albanese.\u00a0 Adored mother of Diane Duncan and her husband
\nMitchell of Rockwood, ME, Michele Albanese of Northvale, and Lenny Albanese and
\nhis wife Grayce of Northvale.\u00a0 Cherished grandmother of Leo Albanese and his fianc\u00e9 Meaghan Kolpack of Newtown, PA and Charles Albanese of Northvale.\u00a0 Dearest
\nsister of James Buonocore and his wife Sue of New Kingston, NY.\u00a0 Also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends that meant the world to her.<\/p>\n
Mrs. Albanese was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Agnes Buonocore, her sister Ethel Buonocore, and her brothers, Frank Jr., George, and Robert Buonocore.<\/p>\n
She was a devoted parishioner of St. Anthony\u2019s RC Church, and in her youth she was a member of the Northvale Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and was \u00a0a telephone operator for the phone company.\u00a0 Agnes enjoyed many activities, including bowling, tennis, golf, ice skating, trips to Atlantic City, eating out, shopping, Bingo, and Friday night card games with friends.\u00a0 She will be dearly missed.<\/p>\n
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 9:30 AM at St. Anthony\u2019s RC Church, Northvale with interment to follow at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, NY.\u00a0 Visiting hours are Thursday 2-4 PM and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale (201-767-3050).<\/p>\n
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Northvale Volunteer Ambulance Corps or your local ASPCA in her memory would be appreciated.<\/p>\n
