Edward J. McDermott, 86, of Northvale passed away peacefully with family by his side on Saturday, December 2, 2023.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Born to Delia and Jack McDermott of County Roscommon, Ireland, he was a proud Irishman.  He was one of four siblings, Sr. Maeve McDermott, Jack McDermott, and Joseph McDermott, all of whom he loved dearly.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edward is survived by his loving wife, Peggy, with whom he travelled the world. Ed is also survived by his three children and their spouses, Mary & Christian Fierabend, John McDermott, and Edward & Jennifer McDermott.    Edward, aka Pop-Pop, also leaves behind his six grandchildren who he loved and adored, Joseph, Michael, Molly, Giuliana, Victoria, and Ava.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visitation and celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, between 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale, New Jersey. \u00a0A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 10:00 AM, at St. Anthony’s Church, 199 Walnut Street, Northvale, New Jersey with a burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery, 500 Fairview Avenue, Fairview, New Jersey.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
