Robert T. Crable, 74, a lifelong resident of Sparkill, passed away on Thursday May 16, 2013.\u00a0 Bob always said that the three most important things in his life were
\nhis faith, his sister Mary, and the Democratic Party.\u00a0 He worked for St. Dominic\u2019s prior to becoming Rockland County Deputy Clerk.\u00a0 Bob was a true blue principled democrat with deep convictions.\u00a0 His life was spent serving, especially to the most needy among us.\u00a0 Bob was a Rockland County Legislator, having served as a committee person from age 18 and served several terms as \u00a0the Orangetown
\nDemocratic Chairman.\u00a0 He was currently the State Chairman.<\/p>\n
He is survived by his loving sister, Mary O\u2019Sullivan of Pearl River, sister-in-law, Annamae Crable of Sparkill, and many caring friends, especially Tom Zimmerman and Pauline Ellis.\u00a0 He is predeceased by his brother John and his wife Catherine, his brother William, and brother-in law Niel O\u2019Sullivan.\u00a0 Bob is also survived by
\nmany devoted nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n
Besides his love of politics, Bob enjoyed spending his summers by the ocean at Long Beach Island.<\/p>\n
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart RC Church, Tappan with interment to follow at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill.\u00a0 Visiting hours are Saturday 7-9 PM and\u00a0 Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale, NJ.<\/p>\n
