Fabella"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pizzifuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/IMG_1225.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"176\" height=\"242\" src=\"https:\/\/pizzifuneralhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/IMG_1225.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8151\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Osrox M.\u00a0Fabella,\u00a0born September 22, 1933 in the island town of Banton, Romblon, Philippines, passed away on\u00a0Saturday, June\u00a01, 2024. \u00a0Beloved husband of the late Veronica. \u00a0Loving father of Richard\u00a0Fabella\u00a0and his wife Belinda\u00a0Downey\u00a0and Neil Fabella and his wife Ji Seon. \u00a0Adored grandfather of Angus, Lachlan, Nathaniel, Veronica and Nicholas. \u00a0Dear\u00a0brother of Cleotilde Cortez, Faustino Fabella II and his wife Patria Ferrera, Nenita Madamba, Sotero Fabella and his wife Cecilia Bautista, and Ma.\u00a0Paz Fetizanan and her husband Jay. \u00a0He was predeceased by his parents, Faustino Faigao and Irenea Festin Fabella, as well as\u00a0six\u00a0siblings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Osrox was th<a><\/a>e 8<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;child among 12 siblings. &nbsp;He was the first child born in the newly constructed ancestral home in town. &nbsp;He went to Jones Elementary School for his elementary education and finished high school at the Banton High School. &nbsp;He pursued his career as an electrical engineer at Mapua Institute of Technology. &nbsp;He met his wife, a younger sister of a close friend in college, got married and had one child, Richard, before migrating to the United States. &nbsp;They lived in Brooklyn while his wife was doing her residency training in OB-GYN, moved to Long Island where they had their second child, Neil. &nbsp;Eventually they settled in Orangeburg, NY. &nbsp;His wife Annie preceded him several years to be with her Creator, leaving Richard and Neil with him who further pursued their own careers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Osrox left some significant heritage preservation landmarks in his beloved hometown where he grew up. &nbsp;He funded the restoration of the side of the altars of the Roman Catholic Church that were destroyed by typhoons. &nbsp;The church is one of the oldest churches in the Province of Romblon, Philippines. &nbsp;He also proposed for restoration of the original church fa\u00e7ade but it did not happen due to inaction of the local parish&nbsp;priest. &nbsp;He also managed the repair and some renovation of the ancestral home where he grew up and was the first child born among the younger siblings in that home<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Osrox lived his life in retirement with the blessings of the children and grandchildren and close families in New York and Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Visiting hours are Monday, June 10, 2024 from 9:30-10:30 AM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave Northvale, NJ. &nbsp;A funeral mass will be held Monday, June 10, 2024 at St.&nbsp;Catharine\u2019s&nbsp;RC Church in Blauvelt, NY at 11 AM with entombment to follow at Garden of Memories, Washington Township, NJ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>www.pizzifuneralhome.com<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Osrox M.\u00a0Fabella,\u00a0born September 22, 1933 in the island town of Banton, Romblon, Philippines, passed away on\u00a0Saturday, June\u00a01, 2024. \u00a0Beloved husband of the late Veronica. \u00a0Loving father of Richard\u00a0Fabella\u00a0and his wife Belinda\u00a0Downey\u00a0and Neil Fabella and his wife Ji Seon. \u00a0Adored grandfather of Angus, Lachlan, Nathaniel, Veronica and Nicholas. \u00a0Dear\u00a0brother of Cleotilde Cortez, Faustino Fabella II and [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-8150","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-notices","entry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>Osrox M.
