Marrone (nee Pelletier), 87, of Blauvelt, passed away peacefully after a short illness on Friday, October 4, 2013.\u00a0 Beloved wife of the late Frank P. Marrone.\u00a0 Cherished mother of Robert and his wife Kathleen of Orangeburg and Paul and his wife Nancy of Blauvelt.\u00a0 Adored grandmother of Robert, Matthew and his wife Marisa, Lisa Connolly and her husband Christopher, Scott and his wife Tina, Christina Albin and her husband Christopher and Alyson.\u00a0 Dear sister of the late Edmund Pelletier.\u00a0\u00a0 Loving Aunt to Suzie Chayt &amp; Steven Pelletier.\u00a0\u00a0 Guardian angel to her 9 precious great-grandchildren.\u00a0\u00a0 She will also be dearly missed by her beloved pet bird \u201cCharlie\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Before retiring, Dorothy worked at Rockland Psychiatric Center for many years as a telephone operator and pharmacist assistant.\u00a0 She was a dedicated animal advocate and lover.\u00a0\u00a0 Dorothy was loved by all whom met her and will be missed immensely.<\/p>\n<p>A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday 10:00 AM at St. Catharine\u2019s RC Church, Blauvelt.\u00a0 Visiting hours are Sunday 5-8 PM at the Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale, NJ.<\/p>\n<p>In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hi-Tor Animal Shelter (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hitor.org\">www.hitor.org<\/a>), the Joe Raso Hospice Residence (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hospiceofrockland.org\">www.hospiceofrockland.org<\/a> designated to the Joe Raso Residence) or a memorial donation to the Alzheimer&#8217;s Foundation of America (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.alzfdn.org\/\">http:\/\/www.alzfdn.org<\/a>) would be greatly appreciated.<\/p>\n<p>www.pizzifuneralhome.com<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dorothy E.
