{"id":932,"date":"2013-11-18T13:24:45","date_gmt":"2013-11-18T18:24:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pizzifuneralhome.com\/?p=932"},"modified":"2015-11-06T20:05:27","modified_gmt":"2015-11-06T20:05:27","slug":"nicholas-mattiace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pizzifuneralhome.com\/?p=932","title":{"rendered":"Nicholas Mattiace"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nicholas Mattiace, 85, of Closter, formerly of Bergenfield, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 17, 2013.\u00a0 He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Norma (nee Boyd), and his beloved children, Linda Zappulla and her husband Tony of Blauvelt, NY, Nicholas Mattiace and his wife Barbara of River Vale, Steven Mattiace and his wife Suzanne of Old Tappan, Lisa Battell and her husband Kevin of Emerson and Lori Mattiace O\u2019Connor of Northvale.\u00a0 Cherished grandfather of Kimberly, Cheryl, Jill, Nicholas, JoAnn, Lisa, Melissa, Sara, Daniel, Kristian, Olivia, Zachary, Kassidy and Kamryn and great-grandfather of Paul, Julia, Joseph, Nicholas, Connor, Tyler, Gracyn, Evan, Matthew and Ella.\u00a0 He was predeceased by nine brothers and sisters.<\/p>\n<p>Nick was known for his big heart, generosity, and devotion to his family and friends.\u00a0 A US Army Veteran of\u00a0WWII and a business owner, his dedication to all that he did was an inspiration to all that knew him.\u00a0 All who had the good fortune to meet Nick, not only knew it, but rarely forgot him.
