Thompson<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>December 22,&nbsp;1946&nbsp;&#8211; June 15, 2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thomas Thompson passed away in the arms of his wife, Meredith (Merry&nbsp;Matura) Thompson, June 15, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tom, known as Tommy to his friends and family,&nbsp;served in the Navy&nbsp;having the opportunity to cruise almost&nbsp;entirely&nbsp;around the world. He was stationed off the coast of Vietnam giving ground support to the&nbsp;1<sup>st<\/sup>&nbsp;Infantry.&nbsp;He returned home where he worked as a plumber,&nbsp;achieving his&nbsp;Master Plumber&nbsp;licenses&nbsp;in&nbsp;both&nbsp;New York City and New Jersey. He had his own business, TC Thompson Plumbing and Heating, for over&nbsp;35&nbsp;years. He was always ready with a story to tell, whether it be about plumbing, ghosts or UFOs.&nbsp;He was a die-hard Yankee fan. He loved his boat, Catherine S., named after his grandmother, and of course&nbsp;deep-sea&nbsp;fishing.&nbsp;He was loved by all.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tom was a member of the Community Church in Harrington Park, NJ, where he served as a Deacon and an Elder. He loved to serve his church.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tom\u00a0is survived\u00a0by his wife of 54 years, Meredith. He was the devoted father of Ardis Thompson, Christian Thompson and Jessica, and Megan Petrucelli and husband Michael. He was the cherished grandfather of Kallista, Cooper, Dominic, Owen, Easton, Bohdan, and Elle Ruthie.  He was the proud brother of Charles, Robert and William Thompson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Family and friends are&nbsp;welcome&nbsp;to meet the family at Pizzi Funeral Home,&nbsp;120 Paris Ave, Northvale, NJ on Tuesday, June 24 from 4-7 PM. Funeral services will be at the Community Church in Harrington Park on Wednesday, June 25 at 10 AM.
