Mary Angeline Scaringe (née Pensiero), lovingly known as “Angie,” passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her home in Orangeburg, New York, on July 23, 2025, at the age of 97.

Born on October 5, 1927, in the coalmining town of McDonaldton, Pennsylvania, Angie lived a life devoted to family and an open door to all. She was the beloved wife of the late James A. Scaringe, with whom she shared a life for 60 years.

Angie is survived by her cherished sister, Frances Sasso (99); her devoted sons James (Mary), John (Christine), and Jerry; and her treasured granddaughters, Danielle and Gabriella. She was predeceased by her son Joseph and her brothers Frank, Tony, and Daniel.

Angie will be remembered for the way she brought people together, especially around the dinner table. A true Italian mother, she was a wonderful cook who took joy in feeding both family and friends, always with a smile and a seat ready at the table. Her home was a place where everyone felt welcomed.

A fixture in the stands, Angie rarely missed an athletic event, always cheering on her sons alongside her sister Fran. Her support for her boys was unwavering.

She was a faithful parishioner of St. Catherine’s Church in Blauvelt, New York, and lived her Catholic faith with generosity and kindness. Angie lived for her family and for those around her. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and neighbor. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the traditions she passed down, and the family who will forever hold her close in their hearts.

Charles Joseph Estelle, 90, of New Milford, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.  Beloved husband of the late Lorraine (nee Bachmann).  Loving father of Douglas Estelle and his wife Michele and Leslie Estelle.  He was predeceased by his oldest child, Larry.  He will also be missed by his granddogs Buddy, Daisy and Heidi.

Charlie was a resident of New Milford since 1958.  He owned and operated Colonial Auto Body in Closter, NJ for 39 years.  A proud United States Navy veteran, he was a member of the American Legion Post 111 and the USS Tutuila ARG-4 Association, as well as the Bergen and Rockland Historical Train Society.

Visiting hours will be Friday, July 25, 2025 from 4-7 PM.  Family and friends can gather at 9:30 AM on Saturday, July 26, 2025 with a burial service to follow at 11 AM at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.

Russell Keith Zimmer, 66, of Old Tappan, NJ, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025.  Beloved father of Jessica and Austin Zimmer.  Loving brother of Randy, Doreen, Debbie, Michele and Phillip.  He was predeceased by his parents Warren and Doris.  He is also survived by many other loving friends and relatives.

Russ owned and operated RKZ Tree Service, serving his community for over 30 years.  He loved the outdoors, riding his motorcycle and was an avid fisherman. He was a friend to all and will be greatly missed by those that knew him.

Hector Emiliano Cisneros, 93, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025, in Norwood, New Jersey. Born on July 20, 1931, in New York City, Hector lived a full and vibrant life marked by dedication to family, passion for sport and art, and an admirable career that spanned several decades. Hector began his professional journey in the world of advertising, where he owned a successful agency for more than twenty years. Later in life, he transitioned into the restaurant business, owning several McDonald’s in Midtown Manhattan. His entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to excellence were evident in every venture he pursued. Outside of work, Hector was known for his athleticism and competitive spirit. He was an avid handball player—considered world class in his prime—and played three to four times a week from his teenage years well into his fifties. When handball became too demanding physically, he turned to racquetball with equal enthusiasm and skill, continuing to compete at a high level until retiring from the sport in his sixties. Hector also had a deep appreciation for art. Recognized early on by his family for his artistic talent, he honed his skills through special classes during high school. Though he set aside this passion after graduation to focus on work responsibilities, his love for art remained an important part of who he was. Known for his honesty and generous heart, Hector brought warmth and humor wherever he went.  While he loved to joke around and sometimes pushed boundaries with his humor, those who knew him understood it always came from a place of affection. Family was at the center of Hector’s world. He shared a loving marriage with Angela and took immense pride in being a devoted father to Lisa, Rick (and daughter-in-law Jocelyn), and John. His bond with his grandchildren—Jeremy (and wife Linn), John, Erica, and Maria—was especially strong; he recognized each of their unique qualities and connected deeply with them all. His joy only grew with the arrival of his great-granddaughter Rylee.  A great father and wonderful husband, Hector lived generously and looked toward the future with unwavering optimism. His legacy is one of love, laughter, perseverance, and connection—a life well-lived that touched many. May Hector’s memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire all who carry forward his spirit.

Bruce Trum Halstater of Norwood passed away peacefully in his home on July 10th, 2025, after 91 remarkable years.

Bruce grew up in Verona, New Jersey.  A graduate of Verona High School, he then earned a degree in pharmacy from the University of Iowa. In 1956 he was drafted and served in the Army as part of the post-armistice peacekeeping force in Korea. 

He met his future wife, Lila Hanley of Glen Ridge, while working at a retail pharmacy. In the 1970s, Bruce went back to school to change careers and ultimately became the manager of computer operations and communication for Lucas Aerospace in Englewood, New Jersey, retiring from Lucas in his ’60s. 

Bruce was a loving husband to Lila for 42 years until her passing from multiple myeloma in 2008. Bruce and Lila raised their family in Norwood, New Jersey. An ever-present father, he coached multiple sports, served as a Boy Scout troop leader, and never missed a sporting event, concert, play or activity the boys participated in. He also was a co-leader in six of the boys’ 50-mile hikes on the Appalachian trail with the Boy Scouts. 

Bruce enjoyed his time outdoors fishing, hiking, skiing, and playing tennis. He was especially fond of walking with friends at the Alpine Boat Basin, Piermont Pier, Nyack Pier and State Line lookout. He loved playing cards with his family and his weekly poker nights with friends. Bruce was an active member of the Hudson River Fisherman’s Association (HRFA), Trout Unlimited, and the Widow-Widowers Club (WWC), serving on boards of both HRFA and WWC.

He was just as active as a grandparent attending as many of his grandchildren’s events as possible, making trips not only locally but also across the country and down south to ensure he was present in his grandchildren’s lives. He especially loved introducing his grandchildren to his love of chocolate and cards. 

Bruce’s love of dancing and his membership at the Widow Widower’s Club led him to his second love, Jeanne Nocella, his partner for the last 9 years. They could be found attending NJPAC performances, sharing a single meal at a diner, and of course cheering on the grandchildren.

Bruce is survived by his brother Michael of Los Angeles, California; his sons, their wives and children -Brian, Anne, Ryan and Kyle of Charlottesville, Virginia and Kear, Christine, Ella and Alicia of Wayne, New Jersey; and his partner Jeanne Nocella of Lincoln Park, New Jersey.

A viewing will be held at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale, New Jersey (201) 767-3050 on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. The family will be receiving visitors at a casual open house at Kear’s house on Wednesday July 16, 2025 at 64 Mountain Ridge Drive, Wayne, New Jersey from 4-8pm.  Cremation is private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the NPR or Wounded Warriors.

Edna Ann Cwirko (nee Frola), 89, of Norwood, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. A lifelong resident of Norwood, Edna carried her warmth and generosity into every corner of her community. Her gentle spirit and unwavering devotion to family shaped the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Edna was the beloved wife of the late Richard Cwirko. She was a loving mother to Jeffrey and his wife Lorei and the late Ricky Cwirko. As a grandmother, she took immense pride in Jeffrey and his wife Nicole, Hillary and her husband Jason, and Travis and his girlfriend Stacey. In her later years, Edna’s heart expanded even more as she became the adored great-grandmother to Ryan, Maddison, Aiden, Skylar, Evan, and Harper.

Sisterhood was central to Edna’s sense of self—she cherished lifelong bonds with her sister Louise and her brother Louis. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will carry her memory forward.

 Margaret Mary McLafferty Lowe, age 83, of Harrington Park, entered eternal rest on July 5^th, 2025. She was born in Manhattan in 1941 to Cecelia (O’Brien) and James McLafferty and lived the early part of her life in the Bronx in Parkchester before moving to Harrington Park, NJ in 1973.

Margaret will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 58 years, Stanley Lowe, and her children Regina, Russell, and Janet. Her memory will be cherished by her older brother and idol, Jim McLafferty, as well as her three sisters in-law Marilyn McLafferty, Iris Boyce, and Bernie Lowe. She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews – Maureen Rubino (Dave), Eileen Hillenmeyer (Ted), Joe McLafferty, Jim McLafferty (Claire) and John McLafferty (Robin). Margaret also leaves behind her cherished grand-nieces and nephews – Sam and Grace Hillenmeyer and Ryan, Keiran, Sarah and Julia McLafferty. She will also be sadly missed by her dearest friend Marion Zeff. 

Margaret was preceded in death by her brother John “Mack” McLafferty, her brothers in-law Wendell Lowe and Thomas Boyce, and her sister in-law Kathleen McLafferty.

Margaret lived her life with such generosity and kindness that anyone she met loved her. She strongly believed in giving back to her community. In her younger years, she volunteered with the Sisters of the Missionary Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity in lower Manhattan. She also worked with the Chaplaincy at Bellevue Hospital. In Harrington Park, she became involved with the Catholic Daughters of America, the Home and School Association and the Junior Women’s club. She was a beloved Girl Scout troop Leader and rose to become a Service Unit Chairman. She was on the mailing list for almost every Veterans and Animal charity group and tried to give a little to everyone.

Margaret loved to travel and spread that wanderlust to her children. One of the highlights of her life was traveling through Europe for 3 months in her twenties. Over the years, she made it to 26 countries, 23 US national parks, and every state in the US except Kansas. In her later years when traveling became harder, she just wanted to meet people from every nation. She loved having been able to visit her father’s hometown of Killybegs in Donegal, Ireland twice and was very proud of her Irish Heritage. Her adventurous spirit also took her up on two hot air balloons rides.

Margaret’s truest joy in life was being a Mother and making other people happy. She put everyone else’s needs and comfort ahead of herself for her entire life. Her family and friends always joked she could qualify for Sainthood. Her first miracle was surviving Stage 4 uterine cancer over 20 years ago when the doctors gave her a 3% chance of survival. Even her surgeon at Memorial Sloan Kettering had to admit that there was a higher power looking out for her. She faced both her cancer treatment and the seemingly endless health problems that ensued over her later years with such stoicism and grace. She left this world peacefully surrounded by her loving family with that same grace that she lived her life. The love and light she brought to everyone who met her will be forever missed. May she rest in peace.

Edward James Keegan, 78, a lifelong resident of Northvale, NJ, passed away at home on Saturday, July 5, 2025. He was the loving partner of 20 years to JoAnn Hoffman and the beloved father of Jesse Keegan. Eddie is also survived by many other loving relatives and friends.

Eddie was a US Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of Norwood American Legion Post 272. He retired from the Northvale Department of Public Works where he was the Superintendent for many years. Eddie loved riding his motorcycle and freshwater fishing. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A Memorial will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at the Norwood American Legion, 480 Broadway, Norwood, NJ from 12-3 PM with a service including Military Honors being conducted at 1 PM.

Tamara Joanne Hee (nee Stratton), 65, of Old Tappan, NJ passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025.
Beloved wife of Jim Kelley. Loving mother of Brendon and Gregory Hee. Proud sister of Linda Skene and husband Bill and Nancy Stratton Whitten and her partner Mickey. She is also survived by many loving friends and relatives. She was predeceased by her mother Mary Salazar and her grandmother Soledad Salazar.

Tamara was a member of the Lions Club in Nanuet, NY. She was a caring mother above all. Her family was her world.

Robert David Caminiti, “Bob” 
Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Army Veteran, and Longtime NBC Associate Director 

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert David Caminiti, “Bob,” a devoted husband, father and grandfather, proud Army veteran, and respected television professional, who passed away on June 26, 2025, at the age of 88. 

Born in 1937 in Brooklyn, NY to Italian immigrants, Bob was a self-described “neighborhood kid.” He loved to share his childhood experiences and some of the cast of characters he grew up with. Growing up at a time of stickball in the streets, corner delis, and a strong sense of neighborhood, his childhood shaped his values and spirit for life.  

Bob spent much of his life behind the scenes in the television business. He began his career at NBC in 1956 as a mimeograph operator and rose steadily through the ranks. In the early 1960s, he became a stage manager, working on popular game shows and soap operas ultimately transitioning in 1967 to the role of Associate Director on the game show Jeopardy. In 1982, he joined the production staff of Saturday Night Live, where he remained for the duration of his career retiring in October of 2019. Along the way he had small roles in several films and became a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG). Whether on camera or behind the scenes, Bob always maintained a high level of professionalism and integrity. 

Beyond the control room, Bob was a passionate proponent for his colleagues. As a longtime Directors Guild of America (DGA) union representative and labor negotiator. He fought tirelessly to protect the rights of union members. He received numerous professional awards from the Guild in recognition of his achievements, both for his work as an Associate Director and for his advocacy on behalf of others.  

Outside of work, Bob enjoyed the arts, particularly opera and the ballet. He was passionate about flying and often spoke about his experience as a young man learning to fly small Cessna aircraft, always longing to return to flying. He was a voracious reader with an insatiable curiosity and a love of learning. He relished robust political conversations with people from all walks of life, always striving to open minds. He believed deeply in the importance of dialogue and the power of fearless expression to bring about political transformation and improve the world. At the heart of these discussions was always his hope: to shape a better, more just future especially for the children. 

Bob served his country honorably in the United States Army and valued the experience, often sharing how it helped shape his life. He was deeply influenced by the history of the International Brigades who fought in the Spanish Civil War—volunteers who, despite overwhelming odds, stood up to fascism in defense of democracy. Their idealism and courage left an indelible mark on his worldview, fueling his belief in principled resistance and the enduring power of collective action. 

Bob leaves behind a legacy of integrity, intellect, and compassion for others. He imagined a better world and worked continuously to help others believe in their power as individuals to truly influence positive change. He is survived by his immediate family: his loving wife, Nathalie Watson Caminiti; his children, Marc “Chris” Caminiti and Susan Fallon; and six grandchildren: Karli Caminiti, Olivia Fallon, Samantha Caminiti, Maggi Caminiti, Matthew Caminiti, and Conor Fallon—whose presence always brought him quiet happiness and a deep sense of pride. He is also remembered by a wide circle of family, friends, and colleagues who will miss his clarity of thought, deeply held convictions, and gregarious nature. 

A service honoring his life will be held for family and friends on July 12^th at 11:00 a.m. at the Community Church in Harrington Park, New Jersey.
