Christina Michelle Pulver, 53, passed away peacefully, January 30, 2026. She was surrounded by love and leaves a legacy of faith, joy, and deep devotion to family. A radiant presence in every life she touched, Christina will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and the light she brought into every room.

Christina was born on July 31, 1972 to Tim and Sharon Grady, and from the very beginning, Christina lived with an open heart and a joyful spirit that defined her life. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from California State University, Chico, where she also played collegiate volleyball – a sport that would remain an important part of her life for many years. Christina brought the same passion and commitment she showed on the court into everything she did.

In 1995, Christina attended the Medjugorje Peace Conference in Irvine, California, where she met Bill and Phyllis Pulver. At the end of the weekend, Bill showed her a family portrait of their fifteen children and confidently told her, “You’re going to marry my son, Peter.” Christina gave him her phone number, which he passed along – and soon after, Peter called. Ten months later, they were engaged, and on June 21, 1997, Christina and Peter were married, beginning a beautiful life together grounded in love, faith, and partnership.

Christina and Peter were blessed with three incredible children: Elizabeth, Madelyn, and William. Being a mother was Christina’s greatest joy and calling. After a brief career in sales, she devoted herself fully to raising her children, a decision she considered one of the greatest gifts of her life.

As her children grew, Christina returned to work in ways that reflected her passions and talents. She served as a coach and Director of Operations for a Southern California volleyball club, mentoring young athletes with care and enthusiasm, before later transitioning into medical device sales, where she again found success through her intelligence, dedication, and genuine care for others.

Christina was passionate in all that she did, but what set her apart was how she made people feel. She had a rare gift for making everyone feel seen, valued, and special. Many friends described her simply as their “sunshine.” Her joy was contagious, her kindness effortless, and her love unwavering.

Christina is survived by her devoted husband, Peter; her beloved children, Elizabeth Pulver-Trybulski (Jake Trybulski), Madelyn Weatherhead (Josh Weatherhead), and William Pulver; her parents; her twin sister, Theresa Wilson (Clyde Wilson) and their family; Peter’s fourteen siblings and their spouses; and many Pulver, Grady, and Reid aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She gave her all to being an extraordinary wife, mother, daughter, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, friend, and co-worker.

Though her physical presence is no longer with us, Christina’s love remains – woven into the lives she shaped, the faith she shared, and the countless hearts she touched. Her legacy is one of love freely given, joy fully lived, and faith deeply rooted.

A wake and rosary will be held on Friday, February 6th from 4-7pm at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, in Northvale. A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Victories Roman Catholic Church, 150 Harriot Ave, Harrington Park, on Saturday, February 7th , at 10 a.m.

Christina Pulver

Marie Theresa Rush (née Dullea) of Norwood, NJ, born April 12, 1944, passed peacefully on January 28, 2026. She was the younger of two sisters; her sister Frances preceded her in death. She was the daughter of Francis and Ed Dullea, formerly of New Milford, NJ.

At a young age, Marie found love with her husband of many years, Dennis Rush. She pursued careers in nursing at the Foundling Hospital in New York City and in real estate with Baldwin and Weichert, where she was known for her integrity. She cultivated many lasting friendships during these years.

Marie took great pride in raising her two sons. She loved her family deeply, shared her wisdom, and found peace in life’s simple moments.

Marie was a woman of deep faith and strength, unyielding in her values and steady in her convictions. She carried herself with grace and dignity throughout her life.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Rush and Robert Rush; her daughter-in-law, Annette Rush; and her grandchildren, Robert Rush Jr., Faith Rush, Tara Rush, and Maxwell Rush.

Marie will be remembered for her faith, wisdom, and devotion to family.

Dolores Accardi (nee DelNegro), 92, of Norwood, NJ, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Alfred. Loving mother of John. Cherished grandmother of Yvonne and husband Daniel, Anthony and wife Theresa, Jonathan and wife Dominique, Anna and Nicholas and great-grandmother of Penelope, Gabriella, Anthony Jr., Joseph and Jonathan Jr. Dear sister of the late Alfonse DelNegro.

Dolores and her husband Alfred were successful restaurateurs for over 40 years. What started as Cinderella’s coffee shop in Washington Heights, NY evolved into many wonderful restaurants. They owned and operated Alfredo’s in Northvale, Valentino’s in Blauvelt, Bellissimo in Westwood, Paradiso in Northvale and finally Bellissimo in Closter before a well-deserved retirement, although Dolores continued to host for many years at local restaurants. 

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and was a devoted parishioner of St. Anthony’s Church, Northvale.

Rosemarie Farr DePhillips, of Old Tappan, died January 24, 2026, just 4 days shy of her 91^st birthday.  She was the older of 2 children of her parents, Paul and Elizabeth (Wehner) Farr, and grew up in Astoria, Queens.   Her mother, Elizabeth, was born in Germany, and her father, Paul, was born in Malta.   Her younger brother, Robert, is 7 years her junior.  Her dear friend from 6^th grade, Jean Lehne Roche, was more than a friend.  They were as close as sisters and remained connected their entire lives.

Rosemarie was always an excellent student growing up, and she later graduated from New York University, with a degree in business.  After graduation, she worked in various roles at New York University.   She married the love of her life, Fred DePhillips, in 1958, and they resided first in Edgewater and then bought their first house in Northvale.    They lived in Northvale from 1960 through 1968 and had their 3 children there—Susan in 1961, Christopher in 1965, and Stephen in 1966.   In Northvale, they became active in St. Anthony’s Church and School.

In 1968, Rosemarie and Fred moved the family to Old Tappan.   Regardless, Rosemarie and Fred remained active in St. Anthony Church and School, and throughout the 1970’s, their friendships with the Edwards, Loh, Paolillo, Simons, Amend, McGurn, Kennedy, Cooke and Moran families continued to grow.  Throughout the 1970s, these same families furthered their bonds through their memberships at the Idlewild Swim Club in Old Tappan.   Rosemarie and Fred’s children, and the children of the other families, spent years growing up together at this swim club.  The ties these families formed then continue to this day. 

Life in Old Tappan in the 1970’s and into the early 1980’s was fast-paced and fun for Rosemarie and family.   Rosemarie supported her children’s extracurricular and sporting activities as they grew, and she returned to the workplace in 1980 as her daughter, Susan, was in college, and her boys, Christopher and Stephen, were now in high school.   Once all the kids were in college, Rosemarie and Fred enjoyed many trips far and wide, and life was good.   

In the 1980’s and 1990’s, Rosemarie and Fred’s children married, and their first grandchild was born in 1990.    Between 1990 and 2002, 8 of their 9 grandchildren were born, and Rosemarie and Fred were fully devoted grandparents.  Unfortunately, Fred was diagnosed with leukemia in 1998 and he struggled with the disease for 6 years.   Rosemarie lovingly cared for Fred during that difficult time.   Despite Fred’s illness, Rosemarie and Fred continued to travel and made the most of their remaining time together.    They had a magnificent 46 years of marriage together between 1958 and 2004, when Fred passed.    

After Fred died, Rosemarie continued to be active in her church, library and other organizations and continued to contribute to her community in so many ways.   Her 9^th grandchild was born in 2008.   For the next 18 years, Rosemarie continued to amaze her children and grandchildren with her travels, wisdom, vitality, faith, board positions, and her devotion to the causes she cared about.   For the first time that anyone could remember, Rosemarie suffered a medical emergency at age 89 in April 2024 which changed her life, slowed her down and caused many challenges.   She suffered another medical emergency in December 2025 from which she never recovered, and she passed peacefully on the evening of January 24, 2026.

Rosemarie was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Elizabeth, in 1979 and 1994, respectively.    As noted, she was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Fred, in 2004.   She is survived by her brother, Robert, who resides with his family in Phoenix.

Rosemarie is survived by her 3 beloved children:   Susan (Antonio), Christopher (Patricia), and Stephen.  She is survived by 9 cherished grandchildren:    Christina (Max), Elise (Andrew), Amanda, Timothy, Ryan, Anna, Caroline, Elizabeth, and Zoe.   Finally, she is survived by 5 adorable great-grandchildren:   Leo, Ember, Zelia, Ivy, and Elinor.   

A wake will be held on Friday, January 30, from 2 pm – 7 pm, at the Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, in Northvale.    A funeral mass will be held at the St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, 268 Old Tappan Road, Old Tappan, on Saturday, January 31, at 10 a.m.   Rosemarie will be buried beside her husband, Fred, at the Rockland Cemetery in Sparkill, New York.  The burial service is private.

June 5, 1953 – January 13, 2026

John T. Fenton, aged 72, passed away suddenly on January 13, 2026, at Waimea Queens Hospital on the Big Island of Hawaii. John was born to Camilla A. Fenton and Thomas F. Fenton. He is survived by the love of his life Frances Terraciano Fenton and his two beloved daughters, Katelyn and Sarah, as well as his 5 siblings and their spouses Thomas F and Victoria (Davenport), Eugene (deceased), Patrick J and Carolyn (Guzik), Joseph T, Maryellen and Keith Wiles and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

John graduated with his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Franciscan University of Steubenville, followed by his Masters Degree in Finance from Long Island University. He started his Financial career at Clifton Savings & Loan. In 1987, John joined Synergy as their CEO for 8 years which led to his tenure at Affinity Federal Credit Union where he served as CEO for 27 years as well as Board Chair of the Affinity Foundation. John was a hard working man, he took pride in his work and showed an infinite amount of passion with anything and everything he did. Those in John’s professional life knew him to lead with a person-first mentality, humility, thoughtfulness, compassion, and patience. 

John was a family oriented man, he was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother and friend. John enjoyed playing guitar, listening to music, playing cards, joining his brothers and friends on camping trips, golfing, traveling, playing with our family dog Milo and of course, spending time on the Big Island of Hawaii. John’s life was full of love, happiness, and adventure, he embraced every day and his absence leaves a lasting impression on all those that knew him.

Robin L. Mezzacappa (nee Feinstein), 72, of Blauvelt, NY, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026. Beloved wife of Anthony. Loving mother of Steven and Ashley. Dearest sister of Melanie Testani and her husband Dominic. Also survived by many cherished relatives and friends.

Lesley J. Fernandez, 60, formerly of Northvale, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. Beloved daughter of the late Joseph E. and Joan E. (nee D’Allesandro) Fernandez. Loving sister of Joseph S. Fernandez and his wife, Crystal, cherished aunt of Jennifer, and the late Joseph G., and especially Mom to Diggity. She is also survived by many loving relatives and friends.

Lesley worked as a Special Education Teacher for the Bergen County Special Services program for 25 years, but her true profession was Professional Sunbather. Lesley’s favorite place in the entire world was Pennsylvania Avenue in Lavallette.

Anthony S. DiPrima, 61, of Congers, NY, passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, January 22, 2026.  Beloved husband of Helen (nee Fleming).  Loving father of Michael and Lauren.  Adored son of Eva (nee Boniface) and her late husband Tony.  Caring brother of Joseph (Teresa) and David DiPrima.  Proud uncle and Godfather of Joseph.

Anthony was an accountant for 13 years  with Cardinal McCloskey Community Services.  A 28 year resident of Congers, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus Pope John XXIII Council 7104.  Anthony was also a loyal member of the Blauvelt Sons of Italy, where he befriended many fellow members and was affectionately known as “Spider” and “Tony the Shirt”.

Alice M. English (nee Stears), 90, of Northvale, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, January 19, 2026. Beloved wife of John Edward English. Loving mother of James and his wife Patricia, Joseph, John and his fiancé Laura and Alice Lyman and her husband John. Violetta Alessio (nee Toscano), 93, of Tappan, NY, (formerly of Nanuet, NY, and Wilmington, NC ) passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026. Beloved wife of the late John V. Alessio. Cherished mother of John Alessio and wife Elismara, Linda Wynne and husband William and Susan McGivney and husband Kevin. Proud grandmother of John (Dyene), Kimberly (Gino), Robert, Brittany, Kiera, Conner, Michael (Emmy), Kaylie (Chris), Matthew and Thomas and great-grandmother of Jasmine, Julie, Angelina and Riley.  She was predeceased by nine brothers and sisters.

Violetta (aka Viola) was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She had a heart of gold, and made a lasting impression with everyone she met.  She had many friends and was always ready to play a game.  Whether it was mahjong, bingo, cards or puzzles, she was there.  She loved to dance, go to the movies and socialize with friends and family.   She worked many years at Pearson (formerly Simon & Shuster) in Old Tappan, NJ and was an active parishioner at Our Lady of Sacred Heart Church. She will be dearly missed.
