Loving father of Catherine Smith and her husband Edward, Elizabeth Hermanson and her husband Werner, James and his wife Johanna, Thomas and his wife Joanne, and Matthew and his wife Amanda. Caring grandfather of Anastasia, Justin, Nadine, Kenneth, Keaton, Broderick, Mason, Myles, and great-grandfather to Athena and Amelia. Proud brother of Ignatz and Steven Klics. Conrad was an entrepreneur and a lifelong fan of the New York Mets. Over the years, he owned multiple businesses, always taking pride in working for himself and building a life through hard work and determination. Win or lose, he rarely missed a Mets game and was never shy about sharing his opinions from the couch.
Outside of work, some of Conrad’s happiest years were spent coaching little league. He spent countless hours at Hogan’s and Veteran’s Fields, mentoring and encouraging young athletes and simply enjoying being around the kids. Whether it was practice nights, weekend games, or grabbing food and ice cream after, those were the moments he loved most. Alongside his beloved wife Natalie, he was also deeply dedicated to Northvale Recreation and the St. Anthony’s Friars Program, leaving a lasting impact on so many families throughout the community.
Visiting hours are Tuesday, May 12, 2026 from 4-7 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 11 AM at St. Anthony’s RC Church, Northvale, NJ.
