Rose Miceli (nee Scandura), 91, of Northvale, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2014.  Beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Miceli.  Devoted mother of Annette Saxton and her husband Peter of Northvale and John of Bloomfield Hills, MI.  Cherished grandmother of Christopher and Adam.

Rose was a member of UNICO International in Bergenfield, the Northvale Golden Agers and was a parishioner of St. Anthony’s RC Church, Northvale.

Patricia J. Demelio

Patricia J. Demelio (nee Thorndike), 84, of Norwood, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014.  Beloved wife of the late Carl J.  Loving mother of Joseph and his wife Barbara of Sparkill, NY and Carl E. of Lodi.  Adored grandmother of Brittany, Matthew and Jenna.  Dearest sister of Sr. Dolores Eileen Thorndike of Tampa, FL and Audrey Cooper and her husband Jimmy of Silver Spring, MD.

After raising her children, Patricia was a home health aide for many years.  She also enjoyed being a member of the Altar Rosary Society at Immaculate Conception Church in Norwood.`

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale (201-767-3050) with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, NY. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM Tuesday.

Angelo Radovich

Angelo Radovich, 75, of Northvale, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014.  Beloved husband of Lucy (nee Glavich).  Cherished father of Michelle Bravin and her husband Wayne of Washington Twp., Renee Blicksilver of Stony Brook, NY and Marissa Brust and her husband Thomas of Riverside, CT.  Adored grandfather of Jessica, Marc, Melissa, Kyle, Connor and Alexa.  Dear brother of Ante Radovicic of Croatia.

Angelo was a US Army Veteran.  He will be dearly missed by his loving family who were his pride and joy.

Richard Thomas McQueeney

Richard Thomas McQueeney, 79, a longtime resident of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, formerly of the greater New Haven, CT area, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2014.  Loving father of Patricia Bugbee and her husband Shaun of Ridgewood, NJ, Richard McQueeney, Jr. of Derby, CT and Scott McQueeney and his wife Jennifer of Wallingford, CT.  Cherished grandfather of Ian and Aidan.  Dear brother of Charles and wife Betsy and Robert and wife Dorothy.

Richard was a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War.

A free spirit, Rick was well known in the Fort Lauderdale area as a graphic artist who had his own distinct style of painting and design.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him for his sense of humor, quick wit and larger-than-life personality.  He left his mark wherever he went.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Lawrence RC Church, 207 Main Street, West Haven, CT.

Elizabeth “Betty” Wakefield (nee Preti), 85, of Northvale, passed away at home on Sunday, July 6, 2014.  Beloved wife of the late George.  Loving mother of Richard Wakefield and his wife Rebecca of Mahwah and Lynn Muth and her husband Robert of Northvale.  Dear sister of Patricia Frank of Virginia.

Betty was a retail associate at Parian Jewelers in Westwood for over 25 years.  She was an active parishioner of St. Anthony’s RC Church, Northvale and was also a Eucharistic Minister.

Barry F. Rosen, 54, of Northvale, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014.  Barry is survived by his loving children, Craig of Northvale and Crystal of Lodi, grandchildren, Jayden and RJ, ex-wife Carmen Large, niece Nicole Large and in-laws, Mercedes and Steven Minch.

John Bondulich

John Bondulich, 81, of Blauvelt, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014. John’s parents Joseph and Helen (nee Telesmanic) immigrated to New York City from Olib, Croatia where they raised four children. John was born on August 29, 1932. He was the beloved husband of Ellen (nee Barry).  Loving father of three sons; John and wife Anne of Tappan, James and wife Lindsay of Randolph, NJ and Joseph and wife Vivian of Hoboken, NJ.  Adored grandfather of Jennifer, Kellyanne, John Patrick, Elizabeth, Alexander, Bionca and Penelope.  Dear brother of three sisters; Jenny Hodulick and Marty, Helen Johnston and Joseph and Mary Lukin and Matt. John was beloved by his many nieces, nephews, and cousins and will be fondly remembered and missed by all.

John was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War.  He began his career in the FDNY in 1961 at Engine Company 92 in the Bronx, NY. He retired from the FDNY as a Lieutenant after working at Engine Company 248 in Brooklyn, NY after 29 years of service. In his spare time, John was an avid handyman who enjoyed learning how things work and how to repair them. This first began during his time at Technical High School in Manhattan all the way through learning how to use YouTube to research repair methods. John enjoyed many camping trips in Pennsylvania and vacations in the Outer Banks, North Carolina with his family. In the summer of 2001, John enjoyed visiting Olib with his sisters and family to see where his parents were born.

Ralph A. Giarnella

Ralph A. Giarnella, 79, of Suffern, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2014.  Beloved husband of Kathleen (nee LoScalzo).  Cherished father of Donna Orecchio of Nanuet, Kathy Pioli and her husband Randy of New City and the late Joseph Giarnella.  Loving son of Theresa and the late Joseph Giarnella.  Adored grandfather of Jennifer, Lea, Adam, Michael, Carly, Talia and Victoria.  Dear brother of Ronnie and his late wife Vivian of the Bronx.  He is also survived by many other loving relatives and friends.

Ralph was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed spending time with family and his many friends.  A self-made man, he formed J. Giarnella and Son Construction Company in the Bronx with his father. Over the next 60 years he grew the company, was well-respected in the industry and continued to consult with his son, Joseph, who took over the family business. Ralph was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War.
