John J. O’Connor, 90, of Boca Raton, FL, formerly of Northvale, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2014. Beloved husband of Anna O’Connor (nee Verni). Cherished uncle of Robert and Lynn. Dear brother of the late Daniel. He is also survived by many loving relatives and friends.
John was a US Navy veteran of WWII. He was a member of the Northvale VFW and the Deerfield Beach, FL American Legion. He also belonged to the Knights of Columbus St. Mary’s Council 3679 in Closter for many years. Before retiring, John worked for A & P in Elmsford, NY.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday 10:00 AM at St. Anthony’s RC Church, Northvale with interment to follow at Tappan Cemetery, Tappan, NY. Visiting hours are Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale.
