John E. Marquart, 82, of Northvale, passed away at home on Saturday, November 22, 2014. Beloved husband of Sylvia (nee Amodeo). Devoted father of Lisa Furman of Monroe, NY, Joanie Milde and husband William of Monroe, NY and John Marquart of Charleston, SC. Cherished grandfather of Michael Furman and wife Brittney, Meghan Furman, Matthew and Timothy Milde and was looking forward to being a great-grandfather this spring. Also survived by a loving extended family of dear in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. He will be dearly missed.
John was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. Before retiring he was a draftsman for Roanwell Corp in NYC. A devoted family man, he enjoyed time spent with relatives and friends as well as the occasional trips to Atlantic City and Pennsylvania.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 10:00 AM at St. Anthony’s RC Church, Northvale with interment to follow at Tappan Cemetery, Tappan, NY. Visiting hours are Tuesday 5-8 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale.
