Albert Joseph Demateis, 87, of Manchester, formerly of Northvale, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2015. Beloved father of Maria Tietjen and her husband Bruce of Northvale, Albert Jr. and his wife Andrea of Mt. Dora, FL, Stephan and his wife Janet of Jackson and Cheryl Cramer of Barnegat. Cherished grandfather of Jenna, Bruce, Joshua, Jessica, Danielle, Joseph, Anthony, David, Jill, Ryan, Grace and Rachel and great-grandfather of eleven. Dear brother of Joan Trump of Manchester. Survived by Maria Demateis.
Mr. Demateis was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a driver for Academy Bus Company for many years. Prior to that he had been a roofer.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 11 AM at St. Anthony’s RC Church, 199 Walnut St, Northvale. Arrangements by Pizzi Funeral Home, Northvale.
