Frances M. Schmitt (nee Reddington), 85, of Harrington Park, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Martin Schmitt, Jr. Loving mother of Grace Opperman of Greenwood Lake, NY, Catherine Plunkett and her husband Christopher of Harrington Park and Pauline Schmitt, also of Harrington Park. Adored grandmother of Robert, Kathryn, Tara, Matthew and Gregory and great-grandmother of Cooper Thomas. Dear step-sister of Maureen Taft. Predeceased by her sisters, Rose and Madeline and brothers, Jack and Thomas.
Frances was a parishioner of Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Harrington Park and enjoyed cooking, gardening and the challenge of jigsaw puzzles.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 11 AM at Our Lady of Victories Church in Harington Park with interment to follow at Tappan Cemetery, Tappan, NY. Visiting hours are Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale (201-767-3050).
