Francesca “Frances” Duggan (nee Gravinese), 98, of Harrington Park, passed away at home surrounded by her children on Saturday, September 26, 2015. Beloved wife of the late George J. (2006). Frances is survived by her loving children Richard Duggan of Dayton, OH and Patricia Duggan of Harrington Park, granddaughter Anna of Dayton, OH and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Ciro Scala, Josephine Chiefalo, Madelaine Scala, Angelina Gallo, Pasquale Gravinese, and Anna Ruggieri.
Frances had a long career in retail sales at R.H. Macy of New York in the fashionable cosmetics department and worked for almost 30 years at the Closter Bootery. Fran was a past member of the Woman’s Club of Haworth and in her earlier years participated in league bowling at the “Taaz Bowl” in Closter, NJ. She was an avid reader and always loved a good mystery.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Victories RC Church, Harrington Park with interment to follow at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah. Visiting hours are Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale (201-767-3050).
