Richard H. Hubbard, 79, of Northvale, formerly of West Paterson, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2016. Beloved husband of Arlene (nee Kilcommons). Devoted father of Lynn Hubbard of Brick, Leslie Hubbard Tristram and her husband Scott of Clifton, Richard Hubbard of Woodland Park and the late Cheryl Hubbard Diehl. Adored grandfather of Alyssa Diehl, Danielle Diehl and Tianna Hubbard. Dear brother of Earl, Carol Miller, Lois Ferrara, Ernest, Melissa Hubbard and the late Willard, Alvin and Elaine Scala. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Richard was a US Army Veteran. He retired from Chrysler Motors Corporation after 34 years and owned and operated Tri-State Inventory Service until the present. A 50 year life member of the West Paterson Fire Department and Rifle Camp Fire Company #3, he served as president, captain and treasurer. He was also treasurer of the West Paterson Exempt and Relief Associations as well as the Passaic County Relief Association.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday 10 AM at St. Anthony’s Church, Northvale with interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visiting hours are Thursday 2-4 and 6-9 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale (201-767-3050).
