Anna K. Samela (nee Tarantino), 85, of Tappan, formerly of Norwalk, CT and the Bronx, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Dominick. Loving mother of Daniel Samela, Stacey Samela, both of Tappan, and the late Gail Pacifico. Adored grandmother of Dominick, Anna and Nicholas. Dearest sister of Barbara Monteleone and her husband Fred of Orangeburg and the late Jean Raio. Also survived by her brother-in-law Lou Raio and many loving nieces and nephews.
She’ll be happily remembered cooking for her family, her love of music that she passed on to all her children and the joy of a soft recliner and old black and white movies.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 10:00 AM at St. Aedan’s RC Church, Pearl River with interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, Westport, CT. Visiting hours are Friday 6-9 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale (201-767-3050).
