Joseph Peter Riccardi, 87, a long time Northvale resident, died peacefully at home surrounded by his wife and two daughters on Tuesday May 29, 2012. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Joan (nee Massa). Devoted father of Linda Shlemon and her husband Brian of Doylestown, PA, and Denise Bigelow and her husband, William of Easton, CT. Loving Papa of Christopher, Ryan, Jessica, Joseph, Allison and Davis. Dear brother of his five sisters and four brothers.
A proud World War II veteran, he attended F.I.T. in NYC and had a long career in the garment industry. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony’s RC Church in Northvale and a member of VFW Post 162.
Visiting hours are Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 at the Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue , Northvale (201-767-3050). A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at St. Anthony’s Church at 10 AM with interment to follow at Tappan Cemetery, Tappan, NY.
