Cecilia Piller(nee Babits), 78, of Northvale, passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2012. Devoted wife of Joseph. Cherished mother of Anna Totaro and her husband James of Tenafly, Anthony of Northvale, George of Northvale, and Silvia Hekl and her husband Timothy, also of Northvale. Adored grandmother of James, Jessica, Anthony, Nicole, John, and Gavin and great-grandmother of Vincent and Peter. Dearest aunt of Anthony Herber and his wife Louise and Joseph Herber.
Mrs. Piller left Hungary in 1956, lived in New York City and eventually settled in Northvale in 1966. She will always be remembered for her devotion to her family, her love for the United States, and her favorite pastimes, watching the Yankees and spending time in her garden. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony’s RC Church in Northvale. Before retiring, Mrs. Piller worked for Excel Elastic in Northvale for over 30 years.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday 10 AM at St. Anthony’s with interment to follow at Tappan Cemetery, Tappan, NY. Visiting hours are Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale.
