John J. Turner, 63, of Harrington Park, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013. Beloved husband of Joannie (nee Murray). Devoted father of John J. Turner V and Paul K. Turner. Dear son of Dr. John J. Turner and the late Helen and brother of Linda Dunlap and her husband Barry. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
John was born and raised in Michigan, graduated from the University of Michigan, and earned a Masters degree from Michigan State. He relocated to New Jersey to work for United Water. John was an avid golfer, a huge U of M Fan, and a very good friend to John Boylan and Imran Khan.
John was loved dearly by his family and will be sorely missed by all, especially his dog Luke.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Victories RC Church, Harrington Park. Visiting hours are Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Center for Food Action at www.cfanj.org in John’s memory would be greatly appreciated.
