PILLER, Joseph, 85, of Northvale, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2013. Beloved husband of the late Cecilia. Devoted father of Anna Totaro and her husband James of Tenafly, Anthony of Northvale, George of Northvale and Silvia Hekl and her husband Timothy of Northvale. Adored grandfather of James, Jessica, Anthony, Nicole, John and Gavin and great-grandfather of Vincent and Peter. Dear uncle of Anthony Herber and his wife Louise and Joseph Herber. Also survived by two sisters in Hungary.
Mr. Piller came to America from Hungary in 1956 and moved to Northvale from New York City in 1966. He worked for Excel Elastic Company in Northvale for over 30 years before retiring.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday 10:00 AM at St. Anthony’s RC Church, Northvale with interment to follow at Tappan Cemetery, Tappan, NY. Visiting hours are Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale.
