Alphonse DaSaro, 89, of River Vale, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2013. Devoted husband of Margaret (nee Drago). Cherished father of Gary and Mary Grace of Dumont and Denise Caragliano and Roy Sheppard of Northvale. Loving grandfather of Jessica, Nicholas and Vincent. Beloved brother Lucille DaSaro of Staten Island, Charles and his wife Marie of Old Tappan and the late Louis, Michael, John and Anna Slimas. Dear father-in-law of Vincent Caragliano of Rochelle Park. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Mr. DaSaro was a union carpenter in NYC for many years before retiring. He was a US Army veteran of WWII.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday 10:00 AM at St. Anthony’s RC Church, Northvale with entombment to follow at Garden of Memories, Washington Twp. Visiting hours are Wednesday 2-4 and 6-9 PM at the Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale.
