Marie DiGiacomo

   Marie F.Di Giacomo (nee Lella), 97, of Homosassa, Fl, formerly a longtime Bergenfield resident, died on Thursday, May 31, 2012.  Devoted mother of Daniel Di Giacomo and his wife Theresa of Jupiter, FL, and Lucille Gibson and her husband Michael  of Homosassa, FL.  Dearest grandmother of Daniella, Dean, Michelle, and Leanne and great-grandmother of Daniel and Samantha.

   Mrs. Di Giacomo was a seamstress and also worked for Scholastic Magazines in Englewood Cliffs until she retired at age 70. She belonged to the Bergenfield Sr. Citizens.

   A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Tuesday at Noon at St. John’s RC Church in Bergenfield with entombment to follow at Garden of Memories in Washington Township. Visiting hours are Tuesday morning from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale (201-767-3050).

DorothyF. Gallagher

   Dorothy F. Gallagher (nee Bachman) 90, a longtime Northvale resident died on Wednesday, May 30, 2012.  Beloved wife of the late Martin and also predeased by two sisters and one brother.  She is also loved by many nieces and nephews.

   Mrs. Gallagher worked for many years in the offices of Erika Labs in Northvale and the Musician’s Union in NYC.  She was a parishioner of St. Anthony’s R.C. Church, The James F. McGuire Sr. Center, The Golden Agers, and The American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Post 362 , all in Northvale.

   Luz E. Winington (nee Nin), 68, a longtime Northvale resident, died on Tuesday, May 29, 2012.  Beloved wife of Louis for 49 years. Devoted mother of Lisa Stover and her husband James of Park Ridge, Lizette Donnelly and her husband James of Harrington Park, and Louis Winington and his wife Annmarie of Monroe, CT. Loving grandmother of Jimmy Jr., Alyson, Emily, Dean, Jade, and Lizzy. Dear sister of Alba Ocasio of Bergenfield, Eldi Gomez of CA, and the late Johnny Nin. Also survived by loving nieces and nephews.

Diamando “Toula” Seretis

   Diamando “Toula” Seretis, 69, of Dumont, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2012.  Beloved wife of John.  Cherished mother of George and his wife Pam of Logan Twp., NJ and Van and his wife Christine of Emerson.  Cherished grandmother “Yia Yia” of Jonathan, Zachary, Lexi, Caroline, Stephanie, Nicholas and Julia.  Loving sister George Golemis and his wife Angela, Bessie Arvanitis and Pauline Karamitos and the late Joann Dalistouris.  Dear sister-in-law of Angelo Dalistouris. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

   Mrs. Seretis, along with her husband John, co-owned Casa Hofbrau in Emerson for over 20 years.  She was Past-President of the Mothers’ Club of St. John the Theologian G.O. Church in Tenafly.  

   Toula will always be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, an excellent cook, a great gardener and a good friend with a wonderful sense of humor.

   A Funeral Service will be held Friday 10:00 AM at St. Nicholas G.O. Church, Wyckoff with interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.  Visiting hours are Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale.

Al Sruoginis

   Al Sruoginis, 88, of Norwood, on Saturday, May 26, 2012.  Survived by his wife Aldona (nee Simutis), children, Laima Sruoginis of Vilnius Lithuania, Kristina Sruoginis of NYC, Andrius Sruoginis and his wife Akane of Seattle, WA and Vincas Sruoginis and his wife Denise of Englewood.  Predeceased by sons Algis and Vilius.  Grandfather of Aurimas, Dainius, Saule, Dahlia and Leo.

Mr. Sruoginis owned Peripheral Computer Systems in Northvale.  He was a member of the Northern Valley Rotary Club and the Knights of Lithuania.

   Alma A. Jessica Rodriguez

   Jessica Rodriguez, 23, of Tappan, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012.  Cherished daughter of Bernard and Marjorie Rodriguez of Tappan.  Adored granddaughter of Bernardo and Isolina Rodriguez of Bronx and Gilberto and Ofelia of Tappan.  Loving girlfriend of Tyler Perrillo.  Jessica will also be dearly missed by many dear aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

   Jessica was a graduate of Tappan Zee High School and SUNY Oneonta with a BS in Biochemistry, intending to further her education in medicine.  She will be remembered as a happy, generous, adventurous free spirit, who loved life, family and friends.

Joseph John Patten

   Joseph John Patten, 85, of Tappan, passed away at home on Sunday, April 22, 2012.  Beloved husband of Emily T. (nee Maio).  Loving father of Joseph W. Patten of Wallkill and Bernadette Gaglione and her husband Joseph of Orangeburg.  Cherished grandfather of Joseph and Michael.  Dearest brother of Edward Patten of Elmira and the late John and Mary.

   Mr. Patten was a proud Navy veteran of WWII.  After retiring from the meat packing union, he worked six years for the Clarkstown Central School District.
