Marie Rose Peterson (nee Frassa), 78, of Emerson, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2026. Devoted wife of the late John J. Peterson, Jr. Loving mother of John III, Michael and his wife Odessa, Johanna Bargisen and her husband Scott and Anthony and his wife Melissa. Proud grandmother of Scott Jr., Eric, Jenna, Courtney, Nicholas and Roscoe great-grandmother of Rylinn and Remi. Cherished sister of Jeanne Ann Scarano. Dear aunt of Ronald Jr. and wife Christine, Gene and Joseph and his husband William. Also survived by many other loving relatives and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 9, 2026 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Victories RC Church, Harrington Park with interment to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Tenafly. Visiting hours are Thursday, October 8, 2026 from 4-8 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale (201-767-3050).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Shriners Hospital for Children in Marie’s memory.
