Robert E. Lee

 

Robert E. Lee, 77, of Nanuet, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017. Beloved husband of Martha M. Lee (nee Warren). Devoted father of Barbara Lee (Pete Troiano) of Yonkers, A.J. Lee (wife, Lauren) of River Vale and Kenny Lee (Meredith Loftus) of Orangeburg. Loving brother and brother-in-law of Kenneth and Geraldine Lee, Richard and Virginia Lee, Donna Lee, Barry and Patricia Lee and the late Barbara Famulare. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Robert was a police officer for the NYPD, 46th Precinct and was PBA Delegate for 10 years. After retiring he worked in private security. He served in the US Army Reserves. Robert was a parishioner of St. Aedan’s Church, Pearl River, a member of the Elks Lodge 2041, Nanuet and the Sons of Italy Lodge 2176, Blauvelt.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday 10 AM at St. Aedan’s Church, Pearl River with interment to follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Nanuet. Visiting hours are Wednesday 3-8 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale (201-767-3050).

Theodora Staudter

 

Theodora Staudter (nee Appel), 87, of Norwood, passed away at home on Friday, June 16, 2017. Theodora was born in Germany and came to the US in 1954. Beloved wife of Heinz of 62 years. Loving mother of Heidi Wildrick and her husband Donald of Park Ridge. Cherished grandmother, Oma, of Kristen.

Theodora graduated from The Parisian Beauty Academy in 1965 as a hairdresser, a profession she truly loved. She last worked at” Celebrity” in Waldwick for many years. She had many longtime customers, and was dedicated to them. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she will be remembered for her excellent cooking, and delicious baked goods.

A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday at 10 AM at St. Anthony’s RC Church, Northvale with interment to follow at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, NY. Visitation will be Friday 5-8 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale (201-767-3050).

Robert Huntley Hardie

Robert Huntley Hardie, 81, of Norwood, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017. Beloved husband of Anne B. (nee Barrett). Loving brother of Lynn Shea of Avon-By-the-Sea. Dearest brother-in-law of Sr. Patricia Barrett, FMM, of Roslyn, NY and Mary Dunne of Athlone, Ireland. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Within his family circle, Bob is especially remembered for his Scottish wit, humor and positive vision of life.

Robert was a banker who retired from Citizens National Bank in Englewood. He was treasurer of the Northern Valley Rotary. Bob was also District Treasurer of Rotary District 79 for many years.

Mary Ann Mione

 

Mary Ann Mione (nee Stantini), 69, of Blauvelt, passed away at home on Monday, June 12, 2017. She is survived by her devoted children, her daughter Kimberly Aponte and husband Michael of Warwick and son Michael Mione of Blauvelt. Cherished grandmother of Samantha and Alexandra. Dearest sister-in-law of Vivian Tomasello. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Prior to working at Aluf Plastics Mary Ann had been a dental hygienist. She was a member of the Romanesque Lodge and was a parishioner of St. Catharine’s Church, both in Blauvelt.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 26 at 11:00 AM at St. Catharine’s RC Church, Blauvelt.

Joseph J. Esposito

Joseph J Esposito, 94, of Northvale, NJ passed away peacefully on June 6, 2017.

Joseph was born in Sheepshead Bay, NY. Early on he embraced the religious life of a Franciscan Monk at Graymoor in Garrison NY. During World War II he left to join the National Guard. After his service he went on to pursue a career in Industrial Design with Lippencott & Margules, NYC. He later moved to Northvale, NJ where he was very active in the community. Along with spearheading the sports program in town including little league baseball and football he also raised funds to help build St. Anthony’s Church. He was a Third degree Knights of Columbus member, Nanuet NY and active in Church choir, St. Anthony’s, Nanuet, NY.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Anna Nancy of Northvale, his four children: Joseph, Thomas, Barbara, Carolyn and seven grandchildren.

He will be dearly missed and loved by his family and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church (Chapel), Tappan, NY on Saturday, June 24th at 1:00 pm.

Margaret Cinelli

 

Margaret Cinelli (nee Refugio), 80, of Blauvelt, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017. Beloved wife of James J. Cinelli. Cherished mother of Susan Turco and husband Gerald of Valley Cottage, Lisa Karvellas and husband Steve of Ramsey, Jamie Tubito and husband Vincenzo of New City, and Grace Karvellas and husband Michael of Allendale. Adored grandmother of Jimi (fiancé Emily with a great grand child on the way), Michael, Christa Marie, Marcus (wife Kim and great grandchildren, Pierce and Olivia), Stephanie (husband Derek), Lisa (husband Greg), Gina, Mikala, Athena, Jessica, and Jovanna. Dear sister of the late Rosemarie Whitehead and loving aunt of Graceann, Michelle, Michael, and Mary Jo.

Margie was our Queen Bee—a matriarch and true original in every sense of the word. Her greatest joy in life was being surrounded by her husband, four daughters and eleven grandchildren. Her family was her life’s work, and her legacy lives on in each one of us. She was the Sun that we revolved around. Her warmth, love and humor touching countless lives, and her memory will burn bright forever.

Philomena “Ena” Murray

 

Philomena “Ena” Murray (nee Harrison), 83, of Tappan, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017. Devoted wife of Thomas John Murray. Loving mother of Colleen Federer and husband Fred of Ho-Ho-Kus, Maura White and husband Ken of Ho-Ho-Kus and Thomas Murray and wife Coleen of Hoboken. Cherished grandmother of Tom, Kate, Griffen, Liam, Rory, Morgan, Grayson and Abigail. Dear sister of the late Joseph, Patrick Hugh, Vincent, Myra and Emmy. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Ena was a realtor for many years before retiring from NY Telephone after 30 years of dedicated service. She had been an active parishioner of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, Tappan and was a member of the Altar Rosary Society.

Jack Vero, 100, of Blauvelt for over 50 years, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017. Beloved husband of Mildred (nee Pellicano). Loving father of Fedele and wife Mary Beth of Blauvelt, Anna Vero of Tappan and Tony and wife Bernadette of Palisades. Cherished grandfather of Jack, Grace, Laura, Maria and Faith.

Jack was an optician for Macy’s Herald Square in NYC for over 35 years. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he also enjoyed time spent at the casino playing craps. He will be dearly missed.

Kathleen P. Musante

 

Kathleen P. Musante (nee Collins), 84, of Harrington Park, passed away at home surrounded by her devoted husband and daughters on Sunday, May 14, 2017. Beloved wife of David J. Musante, whom she met in Lourdes, France while managing a hotel and was married to for 57 years. Adored mother of Maria Vanessa Dvorak of Upper Montclair and Jeannette Musante of Montclair. Dearest sister of Eileen Dunne and the late David Collins, Ted Collins and Patricia Harvey. Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.

As a child she was a member of the “Corks Cute Kiddies” performing company at the Cork City Opera House in Ireland. After emigrating to the US, she was a manager at Saks Fifth Avenue in the skin care division before opening her own successful skin care business in Upper Montclair from 1979-98. In addition to her many volunteer hours in various organizations, she was also a member of the Harrington Park Women’s Club and served as president and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Victories.
