Georgia Sotiropoulos

Georgia Sotiropoulos, 91, of Northvale, NJ, on Saturday, May 9, 2026. Beloved wife of the late James Sotiropoulos and loving mother of Peter of Northvale and Theodora of Mahwah.  Dear sister of the late Constantine Andreopoulos and the late Maria Hatzgiathanasiou.

Georgia was born in Proussos, Evrytania, Greece.  She immigrated to New York City in 1953 where she met her future husband Jimmy.  They celebrated 55 years of marriage together.

Georgia was an incredible cook and would feed anyone who visited her.  She was quite a talented seamstress and enjoyed a long career as a dressmaker designing any type of clothing from simple dresses to wedding dresses.

Visitation hours are Sunday, May 17 from 2PM to 6PM at the Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale, (201-767-3050).  A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Monday, May 18 at 10 AM at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 1 Marycrest Road, West Nyack, NY.  Interment will follow at Tappan Cemetery, Tappan, NY.

Frederick Gysin

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Fredrick (Fred) Gysin who
passed away on May 7, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Fred was born on
February 5, 1935, and raised in Inwood, NYC before moving to Ridgefield, NJ and
recently living in Norwood, NJ.

Uncle Fred was a second father to Thomas Gysin, Christopher (Christine) Gysin,
Laura (Kelly) Cooper, Debra Kineavy (Joe), Thomas Donaghue (Margaret) and
Kathy (Dan) Schneider. He was also like a grandfather to Timothy (Kara) Gysin,
Matthew Gysin (Leeanne), Megan (Alden) Etra and Nicole Gysin. Uncle Fred had
many additional nieces, nephews and cousins, who he loved, and they all were a
part of his life. He also was extremely close to his cousin Ken Ryan.

He is predeceased by his loving wife Francis, his parents Charles and Catherine
Gysin, his identical twin bother Charles (Chaz) and sister Arline King. Fred served
his Country with the US Army. He worked for the NY Telephone Company as a
lineman before retiring.

There will be a Funeral Mass on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Paul
RC Church 200 Wyckoff Ave, Ramsey, NJ 07446. Interment will be at a later date
at Madonna Mausoleum.

Thank you to his special family members who showed unconditional love with
daily calls, assistance with doctor appointments and any other need.

Conrad G. Klics

Conrad G. Klics, 76, of Northvale, NJ, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026. Beloved husband of the late Natalie (nee Gandolfo). Loving father of Catherine Smith and her husband Edward, Elizabeth Hermanson and her husband Werner, James and his wife Johanna, Thomas and his wife Joanne, and Matthew and his wife Amanda. Caring grandfather of Anastasia, Justin, Nadine, Kenneth, Keaton, Broderick, Mason, Myles, and great-grandfather to Athena and Amelia. Proud brother of Ignatz and Steven Klics. He was predeceased by his parents Ignatz and Julia Klics, as well as his sister Julie. 

Conrad was an entrepreneur and a lifelong fan of the New York Mets. Over the years, he owned multiple businesses, always taking pride in working for himself and building a life through hard work and determination. Win or lose, he rarely missed a Mets game and was never shy about sharing his opinions from the couch.

Outside of work, some of Conrad’s happiest years were spent coaching little league. He spent countless hours at Hogan’s and Veteran’s Fields, mentoring and encouraging young athletes and simply enjoying being around the kids. Whether it was practice nights, weekend games, or grabbing food and ice cream after, those were the moments he loved most. Alongside his beloved wife Natalie, he was also deeply dedicated to Northvale Recreation and the St. Anthony’s Friars Program, leaving a lasting impact on so many families throughout the community.

Barbara Ann Walther

Barbara Ann Walther (nee Hatem), 84, of Norwood, NJ passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026.  Beloved wife of Paul A. Walther.  Loving stepmother to Paul T. Walther and his wife Christa, and Patricia Lukas and her husband Todd.  Proud grandmother of seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  

Before moving to Norwood, Barbara lived in Clifton having grown up in Paterson surrounded by a large and loving extended family.  Barbara is predeceased by her parents Paul and Madeline Hatem, and brother Paul Hatem.

Family and friends will celebrate Barbara’s life on Friday, May 15, 2026 from 3-6 pm at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave., Northvale, NJ. (201-767-3050).

Frolindo “Bocci” Marchi

Frolindo “Bocci” Marchi, 97 years young of Old Tappan, NJ passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026 at home surrounded by family and friends.

Born on January 29, 1929 in Fiano Italy, Frolindo was the son of Ines and Cesare Marchi. He immigrated to the United States in 1956 and went on to become a partner in Valley Roofing and Siding Company, from where he retired in 1991. Bocci was a dedicated member of the Italian Club of Tenafly and spent much of his free time gardening, traveling and driving his beloved Ferrari.

Bocci was predeceased by his parents Ines and Cesare, brother Rinaldo, and beloved wife Annie. He is survived by his sister Vincenza and loving nieces Maria Elisa and Maria Linda.

An interment will be held at 11 AM on May 8, 2026 at Mount Carmel Cemetery Serpentine Road Tenafly.

Barbara Ann Angioletti

Barbara Ann Angioletti (nee Napoli), 88, of Norwood, NJ, passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, May 3, 2026. Beloved wife of  Lee N. Angioletti, residing in Norwood for 60 years. Loving mother of Dr. Louis Scott and his wife Luisa, Dr. Lee Mitchell and his wife Carolyn, and Dr. Lauren Angioletti.  A proud, caring grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Cherished sister of Carol Mawn of Norwood NJ.

For over two decades, Barbara was a jeweler at Napoli Jewelers in Teaneck, NJ, a longtime family business.  Prior to that, she was a Second Grade grammar school teacher in Cresskill NJ.  After retirement, Barbara was an active member of Hackensack Country Club and was captain of the bowling team.

Arlene Hubbard

Arlene Hubbard (nee Kilcommons), 87, of Northvale, NJ, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Richard Hubbard. She survived by her sister Marian Walsh, sister-in-law Linda Kilcommons, nephew Jack Walsh, niece Katie Kilcommons and step-children Lynn Hubbard and Richard Hubbard. She was predeceased by her brother William Kilcommons, brother-in-law John J. Walsh and step-children Leslie Hubbard Tristram and Cheryl Hubbard Diehl.

Arlene retired from Chrysler in Tappan, NY after many years. She was a beloved wife, sister and aunt and will be missed by all who knew her.

Marie Elena Cracolici

Marie Elena Cracolici, 68, of Spring Valley, NY, passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, April 25, 2026.  Beloved wife of Isidoro (Izzy).  Loving mother of Julian and his partner Michelle Grundig, Joseph and his wife Kristin, and Gina Cracolici.  Caring grandmother of Giulianna, Lorenzo, Gia and Grayson.  Proud sister of Julio and Nathy and sister-in-law of Josie, Sal and Tom.  She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.

Marie was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala.  She came to the United States of America at the age of 16.  She worked as a human resources manager for many years and a variety of companies.  Above all, she loved her family.  Marie’s greatest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother.

Karen L. Buongiorno

Karen L. Buongiorno (nee Ulione), 68, of Northvale, NJ, formerly of Wyckoff, NJ, passed away beside her family on Sunday, April 26, 2026. Karen was a beloved wife of Perry F. Buongiorno. Cherished mother to her son Mark Ciccarelli and his wife Birdie and daughter Nicole Silcher and her husband Eric. She was a dear step-mother of Perry Buongiorno Jr. and his spouse Tristan, and the late Paul Buongiorno. She was a very proud and loving grandmother of Blake, Olivia, Jayden, Emilia, Monaco and Miles. Predeceased by her parents, Emil and Muriel Ulione and her brother, Brian Ulione.

Karen was a driven entrepreneur, she owned and operated Buongiorno Day Spa for over twenty years and always went above and beyond to help friends, family & clients. Her heart was immense and she cared deeply for others, even those whom she’d just met. She was a devoted wife to her ‘hunny bunny’, an incredible mother and the greatest Gigi in the world. She loved visiting the beach of Cape May, shopping, spending time with those she loved, catching the occasional episode of the young & the restless and cooking for family gatherings. When Karen arrived, she would fill the room with love, and drop a trail of gifts along the way… if there wasn’t an occasion for a present, she would always find one… her grandkids being her most favorite beneficiaries. Growing up in Paramus NJ, she built life-long friendships she’s carried since elementary school. She was deeply admired by many, and will be missed by all.

August S. Sarti

August S. Sarti, 94, of Old Tappan, NJ, passed away at home on Monday, April 20, 2026. Beloved husband of Rosalind (nee Tully). Cherished father of Betty Ann Reilly and her husband Terence. Proud grandfather of Christopher and his wife Kayla and Michael and his wife Kristen. Loving great-grandfather of Madison and Payton. Dear brother of the late George Sarti.  Caring uncle of Dean and his wife Tracy, Chris and his wife Lani, Jess, Ryan, and Jace.  He was predeceased by his parents, Agenore and Elsa Sarti and his brother-in-law Franklin Tully and his wife Patricia.

August was a proud US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a talented furniture restoration craftsman for many years before retiring.
