Eugenia Grochowski (nee Antowicz), 92, of Northvale, NJ, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026. Beloved wife of 57 years of Stanislaw Grochowski. Loving mother of Kathryn Gavosto and her husband Stefan and Mark Grochowski. Caring grandmother of Stefan and Sophia. She was predeceased by her 6 siblings.
Eugenia was born and raised in Poland. After earning her M.D., she came to the United States of America in the late 1960s. Determined to keep practicing medicine, she learned English and passed her medical boards again in a language that was still new to her. She continued her work as a doctor, at various hospitals throughout Chicago, IL and in her own practice.
Visiting hours are Tuesday, November 3, 2026 from 3-5 PM at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale, NJ. A Funeral Mass and entombment will take place in Chicago, IL.
