  9. Pele,
You were like Fiona’s first child. She was always keeping you entertained down the shore. This gave Aunt Philly and parents a little break (really Ali).

Thank you, for working on both of our house, with a CO, passing all examinations, the first time. We all have an empty piece of heart missing. May god bless you, and enjoy heaven.
May god blees you and look down upon, Ali & Greeko, Jessica and, Gregory and get them through the most difficult time in their life’s.

  11. Matt was the first kid we met when we moved into Northvale. We were at Veterans with Patrick on the swings, and Matt was climbing on the jungle gym. I asked him, “Where are your folks?” and he pointed to his house and said, “I live there.” From that moment on, Matt became one of our favorites — as did the whole family. You all always made us feel like true neighbors.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the whole family

  12. No words can comfort the pain you must be feeling.
My only hope is that you believe Aunt Philly was waiting for him with open arms. ❤️

  13. Rest in Peace Matthew. It was an absolute pleasure being your soccer teammate at OT. May your family find peace and comfort in knowing that you were a good & beloved person.

  18. I had the privilege to work a couple of times with Matt and he made each project fun, he had a contagious laugh where I used to enjoy working with him. I pray that he may rest in peace and strength for his entire family and friends in these moments.

  20. Matty was an electrician that worked like a carpenter. It didn’t matter how long it would take or the difficultly of the task at hand, Matt would ensure the project was done the right way. He made grueling work look like a walk in the park, a born natural. Matt cared dearly for his craft and was a proud working member of I.B.E.W. 164. I wish every kid could have a friend like Matt, he always had a positive outlook and put humor into any situation. His laugh was infectious and his nicknames were unmatched, just like his pilaf. You’ll always be in my heart frick. Love you buddy.
    Love frack

  21. Matt was one of my first friends in this world. Before I was old enough to leave the comfort of my cul-de-sac, I’d wander into the woods behind my parents’ house looking for adventure. Matt and his group of friends were usually there — or sometimes it was just him — but no matter what, he always made me feel welcome. I was the quiet kid coming in from the Norwood side by myself, and even surrounded by a big crew of people I didn’t know, Matt always greeted me like I belonged.

I’ll always remember the tree forts, smashing old TVs, hanging around the dugouts and by the train tracks, and living without a care in the world. Those memories will stay with me forever. As life went on, we drifted apart, but that never stopped Matt from picking up right where we left off whenever we crossed paths.

Matt and his family have always made me feel like I belonged, and that is something I will always cherish. His class-clown antics and larger-than-life heart will be dearly missed.

    Rest easy, my friend
